Anything which feels irritating during the initial 1-2 weeks ride will slowly settle down. It is not actually about the thin handle bar grips rather the comfort in choosing the riding position. In the initial period my hand(from palm to deltoids) where like numb. Slowly I tried various sitting positions and selected a convincing one rather a good one. First thing is hug the tank with your thighs and slightly bend your elbows a little which is the best seating position AFAIK. Bending the elbows slightly is also good at times when you accidently hit a pothole or a bumb(obviously not at triple digits)
If you really need a aftermarket hand grip, check performance store or check the Pro-grip models.

Can CBR250R be used for touring with pillion??
Can a female with traditional indian wear sit on the pillion seat comfortably?
In short is the pillion seat comfortable?

I have asked the same thing in R15 2.0 thread and answer was no to all the above question. I am looking for a reliable performance bike but pillion should feel comfy.
I've rode with my mom sitting as a pillion quite a few times for 20-30 kms ,sitting both one sided and the normal sitting position. It took few rides for her to sit comfortably now and yes she is not a slim lady

In my opinion the pillion seat is quite comfortable,me & my wife did a couple of trips which were a little over 100km & she felt the seats are quite comfortable, only once while trying to sit on the bike her ankle hit the grab rail because of the high sitting position so next time onwards i slightly tilt my bike to one side which makes life easy for her...........on one occasion one of my friend who is much more on the heavier side was riding pillion with me was pretty happy with the seating comfort & even with 180kg plus weight(rider + pillion) the bike felt nimble & was cruising effortlessly.

Yes it can be used for touring as we along with Vikram fellow Xbhpian from Mumbai & his wife had done a trip from Mumbai-Tarkali beach more than 1000 kms no problems whatsoever but she was always wearing gears so no idea about traditional Indian wear.

Yes, Yes and almost Yes. The touring part is already commented on. The second one, I had once ridden with my mother as pillion for about 25-30 odd kms and she had absolutely no issues. (Given the fact that the last time she rode pillion was some 10-12 years ago on my father's LML Select.)

The pillion seat is a tad high, but as pointed out earlier, a bit of leaning the bike towards the left solves that.

                  • Thank you very much every one.

Actually i am switching from RE thunderdbird to CBR250R because of reliability issues of AVL engine.

                    I want a reliable machine.
I am not a insane rider but i love riding at safe speeds, i have never had any other make machine but RE.

So i have developed an addition of torquy engine.
                    I generally ride bellow 80.
Dose CBR gives torquey feeling. I think there is only difference of 5 N-m in torque of RE 350 and CBR.
CBR is 23 and TB is 28 N-m.

I just want to enjoy my ride weather i am riding at 40 or 80. Guys i need your comments on the same.

Btw nice jacket.. Believe me Boolean is not good for long rides (read wind noise).. I have black one, and recently got a new lid, which is far better than Boolean It makes a lot of difference.

Wishing you miles and miles of happy CBRing

Yes is the answer for all your questions. Pillion seat comfort of CBR is definitely better than R15 V2.0 and less comfortable than ZMR.

This I would say, is normal. As pointed out earlier, it is just a matter of getting used to. Keep changing your riding position and you will hit your golden spot.
