Sorry couldnt take any pics in all the excitement. Basically i just followed the video on youtube. Bought led strip from local electronics store and unsoldered the old ones and soldered the new ones. So guys it is possible. Dont spend 6000 ot whatever they are asking for a new one. Its very easy if you know how to solder. Also u may need a nose plier to hold the led in position.
Pic of the strip i bought given. The left part is where i removed the leds from using a soldering iron. Attempt only if you or the person doing it is good at soldering and have basic understanding of electronics. Click image for larger version

From what I reckon, fairing gaps do occur on most bikes, some have it on the left, and some on the right, and it's absolutely normal, unless and until it doesn't creep out so much out of spec, it shouldn't be of worry. Are the gaps on the right side, side panels (black cover) or the main fairing itself? If it's the side panel covers, it's not a problem per se, but if you see the main fairing gaps out of sync with the opposite then you can consider it a undo and redo job.

If my memory serves me right, ABS models come with MRF and the standard BYBRE ones come with Contigos, not sure as to why this parody, when the standard ones could use a better tire. Perhaps one can change the tire right away, to the MRFs if feasible or selling the stock unused Contigos on the new bike at a good price in exchange of the MRFs. I mean whatever works and is feasible for the owner.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      THE END

I bought a used cbr 250 last week. And it has the awfully bad contigos. My other bike is a duke 390 and it comes with metzelers. Those are amazing. Finding it really hard to cope with the lack of grip. But since i am almost broke, cant even think about a new pair of rubber. Plus the tyres i have in the cbr is not worn out but are damaged. It has bulges in the treads. Cant explain it in english better.

Thanks, I guess you are referring to this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQGAql7fP3U

Will surely try this. Did you remove the console after removing the windshield? Need to purchase a soldiering rod now.

No need to remove wind shield. Slide it through the available space. Its doable.

                Hello brothers,

Today replaced the fork oil on my baby ceeber.

The mechanic and the advisor told me only 350 ml.is enough on both the forks i.e 175ml per fork.

Is that the correct amount ?

Also, can someone suggest a good service center in mumbai please ?

In this thread i have read that there is one HONDA engineer assigned to a group of service center, where can i contact this guy?

Anyone senior available in mumbai, i can show my bike to him and atleast get peace of mind. The mechanic at service station really really sucks.

My bike is working fine but these small small niggles annoy me. I also know that no bike is perfect but if there is a valid justification provided by mechs for small niggles then peace of mind.

                Cheers,
                Sanjay

Even I remember seeing MRF during my purchase of CBR 250R STD but the showroom persons denied it and said that i might have seen CBR 150 which is coming with MRF :banghead::banghead:

But good thing is my contigo's are in its final legs after completing 15k kms(will be missing the award brave heart award ), so I will be one happy owner of CBR once i change it to MRF(Budget constraints).

And I thought bikes came with variants, cause when I went to pick up the P220 they had models with both Eurogrip and MRF, since I had excellent experience with Eurogrip on the Discover 100, the choice was obvious.

The MRF was seen more commonly towards the end of 2014 mate. Till then it was contigos all over, except for one or two cases which was posted here, where MRF was found to be coming installed from factory.

                              Thank you Aargee sir,

                              more question :

                              1. I did 2 full tanks of ride and was experiencing some some sound in the engine, when i checked some youtube videos the closest conclusion i could make was that the enigne is knocking. Earlier i thought it were the shims because the engine never did any hiccups. But got it checked with the service center folks and they said it is engine knocking issue.

Reading some facts about engine knocking and how it could damage the engine, I am in serious dilemma as to how to fix this or maybe something is already damaged.

I dont see any abnormal behaviour apart from the fan running every now and then after some hard revving action, but this engine knocking is giving me sleepless nights

Aargee sir, are mumbai people blessed with guys like you with such knowledge on CBRs ?. I would any day prefer a senior experienced xbhpian to look at my bike

                              cheers,

Pls ask the ASC to check (and replace if necessary) the chain tensioner, I'm assuming the sound to be more related to physical than of knocking. If you have...
                                1. NO OLD fuel in the tank
                                2. Clean fuel filter
                                3. White electrode on spark plug
then you can simply discard engine knocking

Yes; there're several knowledgeable folks in Bombay who can fix your CBR's issue. IIRC, the senior technician's name in Vihaan Honda, Thane is Abdul; pardon me if you can't find him now, as I've consulted with him more than a year ago. But for sure he's a CBR trained technician & I could make out Islam as his religion from his name.
