Fork overhaul is part of regular scheduled maintenance. Something like every 20k km or so. Get it done at that time!

Pretty much every spare is expensive for CBR250 for example the side mirror replacment costs around 600 + Service Charges + Taxes.
And stick to newer version I mean somewhere 2013-14 models because they have few minor chnages for example the lock replacement for 2011 (my model) costs around 10,000 whereas for newer models it is 5-6000.

        2) Is the Preetam Honda service center in Andheri East a good one (anyone from Mumbai?), if not which is a better option?
        3) What are the points I need to ensure telling him before service and check after service?
For the first point, yes redeemable with the head-office dealer, who is the main dealer, not the sub-dealer. It isn't mean to say they won't but, the labor on the job may perhaps be not upto expectations.

Point number, three, almost all SVC carry out basic checks, but make sure to test ride the bike after the work has been completed, and be present when they work on your bike, keeping an vigilant eye, and if possible cross check with the job done with the marks ticked on the job card. This should take care of it, most of the times. Of course, apart from the obvious if you find anything odd, always clarify it with them then and there.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        THE END

I have asked the SVC several times, and they said it cannot be done.
Heavier grade oil is one option, other is to fill say 10ml extra oil and lower the front. Have seen few members go for separate springs as well.

It is not a very tedious task, just ask them to replace the front fork oil and while re filling, add extra.

sitffness and dampening are 2 diffrent things.

                    stiffness increase :

can be only done with spring change
                    else pre load setup
3rd party aftermarket stuff : ninja 250 springs are direct fit cost 2800 bucks.
else front pre loads from abroads. again easy 6-7k..

DIY : add 10-20mm spacers depensing on your weight over the spring and close the fork and you are set.

dampening : this can be alterned with thicker grade oil.

stock i believe for india is 10w and for us is 5w however move to 20W.
stock consumption is 331ml .. instead you can add 345-350ml max to further damper well.

this needs to be done on both forks. never work on single fork as the load will vary which can result in weird handling and also another fork going bust soon.

if you oil leaked that means either your oil seals were too worn out of you over filled it and went through some real bad patches.

n250 springs and not n300.. but before taking pluge of 3k bucks

why not make custom spacers for 100 bucks.. i am sure you will be happy with it,
take old splendor fork and ask lathe machine guy to make two spacers out of it .. 15mm each . put those above the spring and then top up 350 ml with 20 w and see how it goes.

Why not try using spacers to stiffen the suspension rather than going for a heavier grade or overfilling which might even lead to premature oil seal leak.
