Re: Honda CBR 250R
My bike's(non abs) rear pad lasted for 14K kms and front I changed twice at intervals of 7000kms.
I have a pulsar 220f also, and the OEM bajaj pads did not last for even 7000kms both front and rear.
Could it be difference in quality of the pads manufactured for both Honda and Bajaj ? I felt the Honda brake pads more superior.

Sanjay

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Nissin pads ( ABS version ) easily do 15k kms.. Only con is the cost, but i don't mind when i get the quality for the price i payOriginally posted by theironhorse99 View Postsir 18k for ABS brake pad or non abs ??
ABS ones have remarkably better life ranging from 13k-18k. however non abs ones last max 6k. confirmed with many guys.maybe max 7-7.5k conservatively.
Mine is a Non-Abs and pulsar 220 Rear is a direct fit however could not find anything for front as an alternative.
They last 18k kms on my R15

We both know each other very well, mine is non ABS, just for the recordsOriginally posted by theironhorse99 View Postsir 18k for ABS brake pad or non abs ??
Unfortunately I lost my records from 16K to 49K Kms & between 66401 to 73699; From my existing records, I changed both the pads around 49.6K to 51K for my West coast trip. After that, I changed around 69K (changed along with chain tensioner); after I changed it unnecessarily at 84677.
My only concern & request is, most people post based on hear-say and needless to say the listening skills of our Indians, which is very famous over the world; and its extremely easy to forget what was done in the past. Even before I could make a post here, I had to refer to my records. So you see, its very easy even for a damn crazy owner, then imagine the plight when such things get through several ears & mouth.Last edited by aargee; 07-18-2015, 08:43 PM.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Nah, m rear brake pad (1st replacement) did not last long and i was surprised too, because most of the miles muched were highway with very less braking and i rarely use the rear brake.Originally posted by sanjaysangar1990 View PostMy bike's(non abs) rear pad lasted for 14K kms and front I changed twice at intervals of 7000kms.

Quality did not feel superior in any way. While the pads on my 220 used to last much much longer, but in retrospect the 220 hardly had any rear brake at all..

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yesterday I had weird experience with ABS, I was on the way to home it was raining suddenly the ABS light was blinking and ABS got dis-engaged the brakes were working fine. Since it was raining I didn't stopped and went home slowly and I checked brakes etc I couldn't find any issue.
Today morning after turning ON the blinking was gone but the ABS light didn't turned Off till it reached 30 km/h speed after that ABS started functioning normally.
Now when i checked everything is normal the ABS light goes Off after 10 k/h speed and it works as usually.
Have anybody faced similar issue ?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yesterday, i started my CBR after two days of being stationery. It started as usual but after around 500 mtrs, engine stopped. And then it refused to start again. Tried switching ignition on/off, engine flooding method, but of no use.
Once switched on, i can see neutral light, abs ON, engine malfunction light with some noise inside tank (may be fuel pump) for around 2-3 seconds. Pressing the self start, i can hear the starter motor sound, but no response from engine.
what could be the problem.
Please help.
I used the search option in this forum to find Aargi facing same problem, root cause being engine seizure. I pray that mine should not be the same (out of warranty)
And one another user faced same situation where his friend fiddle with gear(not my case though).
