  • Re: Honda CBR 250R

I think the new might be around the corner. I have seen this latest article in bike advice
And I don't think Honda need to train people SVC for CBR250 or 150 like they need to do it for CBR650f because essentially the whole engine components are almost identical to that of older few minor tweaks and few changes in components.

The export data is also showing recently that 250 CB units being exported it seems.

From the article which was published in March 2015 -
Recent export data points to CBU exports of the 2015 Honda CBR250R to markets such as Mexico, Chile and Peru, pointing to a possible launch of an updated 2015 CBR250R in India soon
So, here's the CBR 250 pages from the respective countries to which they are being supposedly exported to -
Honda Mexico website - Honda Motos | CBR 250
Honda Chile website - Honda | CBR 250R
Honda Peru website - Honda Motos Perú - CBR250R

I am not even going into the export data because the same model was being exported from ~2011 onwards if I remember correctly
When NONE of these countries have the new CBR 250 on sale, how come Zigwheels is going around publishing this kind of stuff?
Perhaps it is time to add Zigwheels to the junk newsblog category...

I would say keep calm and wait till August 4th launch and let's see what happens.

          Hi friends,

Can anybody suggest me a good local mechanic in or nearby Andheri west for CBR 250cc? Don't actually want to visit the authorized service centres as my experience had not so good.

I have a question. The Pusar AS 200 and the NS 200 seem to be carrying the same braking system as the CBR 250 (std). Does anybody know if the pads of the pulsar will fit the CBR? Seems to be a two pot caliper in the front and a single pot caliper in the rear. The reason i'm asking is because, every time i change the pads, i'll be shelling out close to 1.2K for both front and rear, whereas the Bajaj OEM pads cost shy of 200 bucks per set.

its an ancient fact now that pulsar 220 rear pad is a direct fit for cbr250 non abs . also while the honda brake pad last around 6000km the pulsar pad last 15,000 km.
unsure on the front brake pad part. why not take the old cbr pad and see if it matches. if yes then you have a winner.

Damm! I didn't know that!!! Only checked when I got an AS200! Will surely compare the front page too, the callipers look the same though.

callipers looks the same on many motorcycles due to supplier being same "bybre" however they intentionally change the pad design as to people cannot buy cheaper or use spare from cross platform. still give it a shot. its huge money saving.

rear pad honda - 830 bucks run 6000 km
rear pad p22- 190 bucks run 18,000+ ... so ideally saving on 2200 + time + labour cost you will save each time replacing it.

sir 18k for ABS brake pad or non abs ??

ABS ones have remarkably better life ranging from 13k-18k. however non abs ones last max 6k. confirmed with many guys.maybe max 7-7.5k conservatively.

Mine is a Non-Abs and pulsar 220 Rear is a direct fit however could not find anything for front as an alternative.

My cbr250r front brake pads lasted for 18500 kms with still some life. Rear pads are going strong at 22,000 kms. Non abs. It depends on usage.

Its true. I keep the bills. Also, My rear contigo still has tread at 22,000 kms, even though I ran it with 15 psi for one month due to a puncture. But some owners it lasted 6k kms only. Weird, isn't it?
