    • Help regarding lock set !!!

      Hello Bhpians , need a query .

      1. How much is the whole lock set ??

      2. Suggest a good showroom in chennai .

Brief : my cousin owns cbr 250r ABS 2012 model . last week while he was returning home late night the lock was jammed he couldn't remove the key either . while trying to move from lock to unlock they key has been broken at a sudden . the sad thing is half of the key jammed inside the lock and the head of the key was in his hands . then with a help of tow truck they have moved the bike into home . we have called several dealers regarding this nobody in chennai is replying promptly .

P.S - Chennai bikers kindly suggest a good showroom . some of my friends told about velachery showroom , is it good ??

Friends need help !!! As I was out of town, my CBR250 was in garage idle for almost a month. Today I decided to go for a ride and as I was about to switched her on, she did not start up !!! Instrument cluster did not light up and everything were completely off, no reaction at all once I pushed the start button. All were off except the neutral light !!! I did the third free service four month back and in last four month she did not run even 1500 kms. And yes, I kept the engine kill switch on !!! Friends what should I do ???

You should try to push start the bike, your bikes battery must have drained

Don't worry mate, CBRs have this habit of cutting off...when there is less fuel. Even a small bump on the road could take the fuel away from the outflow tube and cause a temporary 'lack of petrol' and causes the engine to stall.... It happened to me regularly over speed bumps (when low on fuel, blinking / last bar), so I kept more fuel and refilled when at 2bars. So continue riding and keep a close watch on fuel eff... with the horrible ASCs, fuel effs tell more stories that what is evident....

I booked my bike at velacherry maanasarover honda. Service is not upto the mark there.
I changed mine a couple of months back at didar, egmore costed me 3.5K. But mine is 2013 CBR & the service guy said 2013 model CBR250 lockset is cheaper than the older ones. Try calling them.

Am just too lazy to ask around

Any idea about the price of side stand for cbr? Actually my bike seems to be a bit more tilted; more than it should be. My bike is more than 3 years old, so i think i should get the side stand replaced now.

Someone else might know the exact price mate but I got mine changed recently and I don't remember it being to heavy on my pocket... Get it looked at/changed.

push start in second gear.. either ride it around for like 3-4 km's else just go for your work and the battery will charge.. it normal.. nothing to worry about.
