It is a good bike. what I noticed that the bike had got no problems in the back as the previous version had and u get the actual feel of r1 on it. Take a test ride and u shall come to know yourself.
I took a test ride of cbr and was really impressed... mainly cuzz I was alone and got to REALLY rip it hard... It actually made me smile inside the helmet while riding a bike after a long time... I have ridden R15 v1 many times but never really got to go past 80 or so cuzz it was not mine and it was with a pillion... And here in Bhopal YAMAHA are not giving test rides of R15 v2... So I personally am not able to compare the two of them...

And also coming from a Pulsar 200 will I really feel a big difference in power if I go with R15 ?

I am stuck between CBR250R and R15 v2.0 like many others out there so any help would be greatly appreciated... My current ride is P200 btw...
      Both Are wonderful bike's
--CBR is heavy and R15 is light
--CBR is costlier by 25-30 K ( but wait you get 250 cc ! )
--CBR gives mileage around 28-31 and R15 gives Mileage around 43-45 ( Claimed by Manufacturers )
--Service Interval in CBR is once in 6 months or 6000 kms where as R15 once in 3 months or 3000 kms ( Correct me if am wrong )
--Apperance of the R15 outscores CBR ( Just my opinion )
--The torque in CBR is amazing !
-- CBR can touch somewhere between 155-165 kmph where as R15 can touch 144-147 Kmph
--If you are tall and heavy R15 would not suit you ...
--CBR gives you the big bike feel ...
--CBR outscores in long rides !
--CBR can accompany pillon for long where as arrive alone in R15

( P.S I am just giving my honest opinion and am sure most of you would
      agree )

Friend its you upto you on what features you exactly want .. from the posts I have read .. You seem to be more intrested in power .. if yes then CBR definitely outscores here ... If you want it light and want to zip around ... then its R15 ..

One more question, I see the cost of paddock for C250R to be 1800 in some of the posts. But when I enquired the ASCs in chennai, i got a quote of 3500+ (highest being 3900 frm Manasarovar). Is this the right price in chennai or should I bargain? Chennai paddock owners , please suggest.
Sir , Just Curious to Know .. Did you give your bike for service in Didar on Tuesday afternoon ?

If u r seeing the speed and all and above all not to forget u were having 200 PULSAR buddy then go for cbr as the Yamaha won't be able to give u that kind of performance in speed as many other have tested her even my PULSAR 220 beats Yamaha the new one r15 v2.0. So I will suggest u to go for the cbr for sure if u r seeing the speed and all if not then Yamaha is a good buy at the end of the day it is your call. As its your money.

I did absolutely nothing other than nonsense talking; atleast PSR Ji gave us all some wise words as how to handle ASC + question few things technically & helped both of us understand things; anyway, good to know that your issue is resolved & remember to ride carefully & safe. Archit, You are giving the least quote in posts. Can you post some pics of the paddock or can you give a permalink to the post showing this stand (I couldnt spot in this thread)? Is this the stand from Honda or OEM make? I would be interested to go ahead with this. I can arrange for shipping from Mumbai as I have few friends there.

Srivaatsav, I am not sure about your curiosity. I gave for first service on 3rd November which was Thu. Normally I leave for service in morning -- be it car or bike. Next week, I will take my CBR to Didar some weekday. Need to schedule an appointment with didar@tnagar. She has developed a lot of vibration even in 3Krpm in the past 2 days. Need to check this with a lot other small problems like throttle and mirror adj, etc. Will let you know if I am coming on Tue next week.
Leave way and then accelarate ... then overtake ....

As I had told you my bike got stalled friday evening. On inspection they realised the shims were missing & the needle bearing & a few other parts had broken off.
Well not to mention the parts were not available with Venetian honda. So to my surpirse honda replaced the whole head assembly itself. Initially I felt sorry for myself but not the way bike is performing, makes me happy. Trust me I had never enjoyed the cbr experience even when my bike was new, but today I am.

              Any plans for saturday/sunday?

@RG: Aye AYe sir! Wanna do atleast 400-500kms. Lets see..

              Thanks

Ha ha ha I did nothing except share a thought on how to move forward and solve the issue by making the ASC understand that the owner is knowledgeable...Unfortunately most places the ASC themselves are ignorant of the Vehicles they handle and so are hesitant to do things...

Glad the issue had been solved in time without escalation, and the bike had become smooth and you love it......
It was Good of Honda to replace the entire set of components including the head, and assure peace of mind to the owner.

Spare part availability is still an issue in Pune and Bhuvaneshwar.

Rear Brake disks for ABS, cone set and clutch cable not available in both the towns as of yesterday.

                      • Hey i dont know if i am the only one !! ....... but i got my cone set replaced for free as it was causing a lot of issues !! .. its ok now !! and they did the nut and bolt replacing thing that !! .. has been for all of the CBR's !! ..

Abd the best part !! they gave me 1 litre of Honda 10 W 30 FS oil free !! for all the trouble they caused me & will cause in the future !! .. but Vihaan Honda is really giving my bike a great treatment !!

And i was also wondering if you get steering dampers so that the cone set dosent get kaput again !! ? for the CBR 250 R ..

Still trying to source out the rearsets !! and frame & crash sliders for the CBR ... the cheaper option !! .. any updates on that !! got one in Bachoo but too expensive !! ..

Hey is there any CBR250r owner from bhopal in this thread ?
Please clear a few of my doubts:
                            1. How is it for our roads?
                            2. What mileage are you getting?
                            3. How is the service of HMSI in bhopal?
                            4. Are they co-operative with replacing the faulty parts ?

                            Comment

                            • Someone earlier mentioned the "floating" effect and said it was the front fork problem, I suppose it's the same bounciness I'm facing so I'll ask for a front fork replacement . No one mentioned in the ASC mentioned it was in the kit though

When I finally get my ride it would be really helpful then...
