Re: CBR 250R ABS Wobbling Issue

I recently bought CBR 250R ABS and between 4500 RPM and 5500 RPM I feel handlebar shaking( i tried with both hands off the handle bar in a road with no traffic) beyond that RPM wobbling stops but I still feel vibration.
I took it to the service center in Chennai and they told me it's because of the tyres and the changed the front tyre but still wobbling was there so now they changed the back tyre as well but issue still exist
Now they are again going to replace the front tyre and the Mechanic showed me with a new tyre ( but it reduces the problem but wobbling was there still)
Please help if any one has the same issue and if so let me know how you resolved it
how many km's done ?
what tyres are you using ?
how many km done on each tyre ?
is it a combination or radial and bias ply ?"A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

Re: CBR 250R ABS Wobbling Issue
Mine also had some wobbling issue after replacing my front tyre under warranty. They did outside the service centre. They have some tie up with the tyre showroom where they do wheel balancing and tyre replacement etc.Originally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View PostCan you share the details of showroom where they are doing this wheel balancing, as far as I remember they are saying that wheels are balanced when they are fitted in the assembly line and reach the showroom. And I found no ASC have the facility to do the same. If there are doing this I would love to get it done from them.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
When I bought mine, it was having Continental rubber and it never wobbled in such way. When I changed both the tyres, I just requested the tyre fitting guy to align that yellow dot with valve stem and he did. I remember I asked for balancing and he replied it did not need. Currently, MRF in rear and Michelin Pilot sporty in front - haven't experienced any wobbled except one incident while returning from home last Holi. My saddlebag (Viaterra Claw) was loaded with almost 15 KG of rice (from my farm), one plastic jar full of pickles, other eateries items, some basic tools, and few pairs of clothes. When I left the handlebar in somewhere on the way to stretch and rest my arms, it wobbled heavily. It was because the rice packet was drifted little aside from center. Never experienced wobble again since then.Last edited by arvstreetracer; 05-16-2017, 08:17 PM.-----

Ktm also doesOriginally posted by lalitp View PostCongratulations to everyone! Superb Pics!
One fact its a weird and negligible one but still a fact, CBR250R is 3rd bike in India to have "Bybre" Disc brake installed.
First one is Pulser220, the second one is Yamaha SZ-R (Yes! It has Bybre as front disc
) and Third one is Honda CBR250R!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Didn't know its compatible, I have been looking for cheap options to raise the handlebars for a long time now, (something like Helibars, but cheaper). Have a few queries before I imitate what you did-Originally posted by @KinZ View PostHandlebar raised with Apache 200 handlebar. Had to do some chipping on wind screen. But it is a perfect solution for me as I had some issues with the position of stock handlebar

1. Any cables or brake lines need be replaced?
2. Will any other aftermarket windshield be compatible with the TVS 200 handlebars?
3. How closer and higher do you now find the handlebars compared to the stock ones?
Kindly help, thanks.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
It's a fair deal if the bike is in good condition.Originally posted by Saurabh_rf View PostGuys im getting a Cbr 250 2013 model (red color) for 75k. It has done 11k km and is a non abs model. Is it a good deal?
Check the engine note in idle and after a ride for any extra sounds.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I've used it on my duke 200. Went thru that bottle in a yr and a half (i usually add it after every service, and i add a generous dose). No negative effects.. and haven't had to touch the throttle body or injectors so far (29k km on odo).Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostGot this. Waiting for few days to get a clear idea if its worth or not.
Apart from that, I use System G or Adon P fuel additive ever other time i fill up.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Can you post a picture of the maintenance schedule of the R3 from the manual? In the r3 thread? TIA.Originally posted by sambit View PostIn how many kms should 1 clean the injectors? I had never done it in more than 40K kms, but for R3, its manual says every 10K kms.
If the CBR250R goes belly up, the FZ25 and the R3 would be my next bike.
However i feel that it's going to be a long time...Last edited by leech; 05-18-2017, 09:36 PM.
