thanks alot mate ... the bike is lighter ... since the original exhuast was pretty heavy (Originally posted by sherry_unicornlover View PostNice mods... just perfect, and liked that nothing looks overdone.
BTW, where's the right side RVM?
) and the bike races to the red liner ... was able to reach140 + pretty quick and has a sweet exhaust note(personal opnion).
The Missing RVM .. Well thats another story ... i was touring to amritsar, and on my way back to delhi .... the rvm just fell off ... seems like there was a loose screws.
Now ... since the spares are not available
.. i am not able to put that back on .

Update:
I got my bike back a few mins ago. The first thing i asked was "The Cause of the leak" and the only answer i got was "The problem has been fixed sir"
I ask again and i get the same answer so i didnt bother to waste my time.
Took the bike for a spin and noticed there's tremendous vibration post 4k rpm in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. But once i shift to 4th gear the bike revvs normally. I can also hear some weird noise from somewhere under the console in higher rpms. WHat could it be? The sound is undescribableGot a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

You're considered rude only when you post answers or ask to searchOriginally posted by Lux Aeterna View PostNot to sound rude, but does anyone have any input about my problem described on page 558?

If you meant a very very light which is almost negligible bobbing motion with the entire vehicle on idling, then, its bound to happen due to torque. I've it too. If you notice this when riding, well I guess you cannot. Confirm this pls.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Thanks for the reply, no I meant while riding. Like I said, as if the road has tiny speed bumps, it's subtle, but noticeable nonetheless. This happens while riding, on higher speeds it's not noticeable because of engine growl, wind speed and the like but on lower speeds it is quite noticeable. Baby phantom speed bumps

Need some urgent advice..
Guys,
I am dying to drive my new baby from Bangalore to Coimbatore (around 350km). But,is it advisable to take a new bike on such long rides? She has just completed 130KM. I can arrange for an oil change in Coimbatore. Other aspects that are holding me back are:
- I am limiting myself to 4.5 K rpm now. But not sure if I an maintain it on free highways
- Yet to get the registration papers. The dealer says it will take 45 days, but I have my number
Kindly advice..my vacation starts tomorrow and got to decide
Thanks in advance

If you've control on your wrist, yes you can.Originally posted by Go-cool View PostBut,is it advisable to take a new bike on such long rides?
Who asked you to do so?Originally posted by Go-cool View PostI am limiting myself to 4.5 K rpm now
The evening I took, I covered 96 Kms, second day 500 odd Kms & third day about 450 Kms. The mistake I did was to keep under stupid RPM limits.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

If you can stick to the recommended rpm range in the run in period, I don't see any reason why you can't cover that distance.Originally posted by Go-cool View PostGuys,

However, make sure you change the engine oil at the specified interval (around 500-750 Km on the odo).
Go ahead, enjoy the ride!!
PS: Don't rev beyond the specified limit in run in period. It can be harmfulSignals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)
