And I've to agree with you, riding between 110-115 is pure pleasure. I get about 28-29 with 140'sOriginally posted by kishoremuthu View PostOf course at 130+ there will be huge difference.. I said average 110 because we maintained 110kmph for most of the time.. and in the ride speed varied between 90-154...
Rides well, touches 130ish; but I don't feel like take it out for a spin. God knows when the parts will arrive.Originally posted by kishoremuthu View PostWhat is the status of your ride
Not known still; Its HMSI, hope they dispatch the parts soon. Will PM you once things are fixed. Quite sad I need new set of front disc pads that were changed about 550 Kms ago.Originally posted by kurtrules View PostArgee, sorry to hear about your accident. Did you meet with an accident to get the above parts?
Can you post a pic of the rusted chassis pls?

And pls expand etc
Which dealership?
How did you notice & from where does the oil leak? Was it leaking all the way from first service to the second service
You mean the clip on or entire fork assy?
By whom? ASC or HMSI?
Whom did you approach for this? The dealer or HMSI? And did you ask them verbally or through court?
Last but not the least - Typing in capital is considered rude as yelling at people here. I hope you didn't want to yell at us!!!
sorry i didnt know that abt uppercase thing!!!!
my bike is lying in om sai work shop in kandivali
for spare parts i contacted all the honda dealers listed on the honda website i contacted the pune office also for 15 days they have been tormenting me every day I call the concerned person is on leave is it that honda has 30 day off in one month ???
I didnot meet an accident there is a series of big pot holes under the vile parle flyover on the western express highway!!!!!!!!
I approached the dealer and told the sales guy verbally.Computers are like bikinis. They save people a lot of guesswork!

Who's the concerned person? From all your experience it seem the issue is with the dealer rather than HMSI. So how can you blame HMSI my friend?Originally posted by devdutt View Postfor spare parts i contacted all the honda dealers listed on the honda website i contacted the pune office also for 15 days they have been tormenting me every day I call the concerned person is on leave is it that honda has 30 day off in one month ???
Ok, so...Originally posted by devdutt View PostI didnot meet an accident there is a series of big pot holes under the vile parle flyover on the western express highway
, what happened?
Lol!!! You mean you told the dealership verbally to refund the money & you think they're going to take it any serious? I sent RSVP to HMSI asking for a refund & that has not been taken any serious, let alone dealerOriginally posted by devdutt View PostI approached the dealer and told the sales guy verbally.
Just find out who's the best ASC in Mumbai; IIRC, it has been discussed on this thread earlier may be DK/Kurtrules know & change the ASC; if OM Sai is the best one, then its time to get on to higher levels. BTW, you're talking about 15 days!!! IIRC, most guys here have waited for more than 40+ days for parts to arrive & yours truly had waited about 45+ days without even riding waiting for parts; that's the reality
Just keep bugging them politely everyday & push to get your vehicle.

Wait a min. Is it the grey bike lying there some time now? Or is it a black one, which has also been there for sometime now. And I guess you go to the Kandivali one. I go there myself and I have had a good experience so far. Cannot blame dealer for non-availability of parts. HMSI is to be blamed. But Om Sai does have some parts but not the ones you need I guess. Like they don't have the FS oil!Originally posted by devdutt View Post

Anyways, the only thing you can do is to sit tight and wait patiently. I waited for more than 100 days for my front mag wheel replacement. And near about 4 months for coneset. The perils of buying the bike early
There is nothing wrong with Om Sai though from the experience I have had for the CBR so far. If HMSI cannot send wheel, what can Om Sai do?
Though, do mail the Honda guys, everyday..I mean everyday and ask for all the parts you need.
I think you are stuck at Om Sai cause your bike cannot be driven right? Or else you could have checked out Vihaan Honda at Ghodbunder road as well.

???? Err.. your front disc pads need to be changed again?Originally posted by aargee View PostNot known still; Its HMSI, hope they dispatch the parts soon. Will PM you once things are fixed. Quite sad I need new set of front disc pads that were changed about 550 Kms ago.
Wasn't it changed a while back? Anyway, will call you sometime when you are free for more details.
For the records, 79 days of wait and counting.Originally posted by aargee View PostIIRC, most guys here have waited for more than 40+ days for parts to arrive & yours truly had waited about 45+ days without even riding waiting for parts; that's the reality

I am personally thinking of buying any spare parts available at this moment for the bike and stocking it at home so i dont have to wait if i need them someday.
I am looking forward to keeping this bike with me for the next 5 years atleast(or until Yamaha drops a fully faired 250 priced under 2lakhs OTR) and who knows maybe il have two 250's side by side aswell but spare parts availability is a big concern as of now. Waiting to grab a new oil filter again even though i just changed mine 400kms backGot a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

DS - Whew!!!
Nitesh - Yes, provided you get those parts off the shelf from the ASC
Kind attn - OF sir & PSR Ji; so this morning about 7:45 AM I'd tied down for over 12 hours now. I was expecting the rope to become little loose, but that didn't happen. Is my expectation wrong or there isn't anything wrong?
For showing the brake lever position, here're some pics...
and this is position at which the brake gets engaged (probably a little further when the wheels are in motion), but I absolutely dislike this!!! This reminds me of the wired drum brakes; I actually love the lever to get engaged with just few mm. Wouldn't this be more than 10mm?Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

I think at last you would be holding the record of keeping CBR without riding for most number of days/months (just kidding)
..
Could you please explain why disc pads needed to be changed..Originally posted by aargee View PostNot known still; Its HMSI, hope they dispatch the parts soon. Will PM you once things are fixed. Quite sad I need new set of front disc pads that were changed about 550 Kms ago.

I forgot to mention "Whenever available"Originally posted by aargee View PostNitesh - Yes, provided you get those parts off the shelf from the ASC

By the way how do you guys calculate average? during my first service the ASC person did ask me about the average fuel consumption. My rough guess is about 28-30Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Illae saar.. Some cashless thingy with this SVC and the insurance company. So, I can atmost request my SVC to get the parts from some other SVC, if it's available there.Originally posted by kishoremuthu View Post79 days

I had a similar problem with my bike when I changed the brake pads. 200kms in and the free play was 30mm or so!Originally posted by aargee View Postand this is position at which the brake gets engaged (probably a little further when the wheels are in motion), but I absolutely dislike this!!! This reminds me of the wired drum brakes; I actually love the lever to get engaged with just few mm. Wouldn't this be more than 10mm?
Mech opened the assembly and cleaned the pads with a hard wired brush and the disc with sand paper (not too sure if that's advisable). He said that the pistons got stuck due to dirt entering the chamber.. Couldn't make complete sense since I couldn't understand how dirt would enter that area.. But the problem was solved and its back to normal now..
Try asking a few mechs there.Get ready for the ride! 24 Hours on a Bike...
