    • Hey guys,

Has anyone tried using a P220 rear disc pads in your bike? If yes, what would be your review? Is it the same or is there a difference?

      Pl let me know.

      • Top speed for any vehicle is a function of Engine Power, Weight, Tyre quality, Road Quality, Wind factor, Atmospheric pressure, Ambient air temperature, Riding style, riding posture, Fuel used, Engine condition.

It is not as simple as shifting up to top gear and giving full beans.
Different people are claiming different speeds due to variations on the above mentioned factors.. And as you can see those conditions can change quite a bit between vehicles, roads, and location. For example bangalore, owing to the altitude, will always have vehicles producing lower power (thinner air, richer mixture).

This is true for most of the vehicles, unless, we are talking about vehicles who has very short ratios compared to the engine output. Or ones who are electronically limited top speed.

Yes, I'm using the P220 rear disc pads on my Standard CBR 250R. I don't feel any difference, just feels the same.
The stock ones lasted for 5.5k kms. I'm close to 13k now and the pads are still good.

sorry for the poor quality pic, but if someone can tell me what is that black thing in the attached pic?

And the clip-ons on are out of alignment, the gear lever is way too high. Need to visit the service center tomorrow.
dude...contact your dealer and show them the toolkit caus there are many more tools. Its got more stuff in it than the r15's toolkit. your missing two allen wrenches, a screwdriver, and a scoet wrench. The cord's for fastening your helmet, its given in the manual

Stay away from 20w40; BTW, 10W30 is not mineral, if its supplied by HMSI; if the plastic can is black in color & you can read 100% synthetic, then its a FS 10W30. Use 20W40 if you want a restricted top speed & acceleration

10W30 mineral is provided by HMSI. It is the only grade and type of engine oil available in the SVC where I go. I have used it till, a little above 6k kms and changed to 10w30 Honda Throttle afterwards.

Want a clarification, why are you saying no to 20w40??

No, AFAIK, the P220 disk pads are NOT compatible with the ABS CBR 250R.

Why do you think you've been taken for a ride? Honda recommends FS 10w30 oil.

                        Check it out.

HMSI do have both Mineral and Full Synthetic in 10w30.
The best part is Honda Throttle 10w30 is manufactured in Kolkata (see the manufacturer address in the oil can u attached) and distributed all over India but it is not available in any of the HMSI showrooms here in Kolkata. I had to get it through my personal source (but for lesser price than what we get in SVCs ).

not able to see the above post.

If I am right @Dreamseller uses 20w40 mineral oil. I don't know if there is any difference in performance, will check it out when I meet him next. But surely the engine sound is different from mine(10w30).

An Oil filter gives you better filteration and prompt flow at even high speeds.

K&N claim that it not only increases you HP but also your fuel economy.

Now remember, there's no one on road, nothing to brake, fully crouched, no turns but still the bike drops to 139. Why does this happen? This is exactly what I'm trying to convey.

There's a stretch in Chennai bye-pass that I do 5 times a week up & down. You can easily go upto 150 on the forward leg, but find it hard to cross 144 on the return leg. I've done this stretch say like over 150+ times (8 months) on all type of weather & all windy conditions; just that I had a backpack & myself not more than 100 Kg. This is why I said, ON ANY CONDITION, 135/137 is possible (that includes the upstream also)
The Bikes UTSC top speed is around 160.

@aargee - the reverse leg might have a gradient. I have experienced the same on some seemingly flat sections of the ahmed nagar highway.

I guess in all prospects the bike in stock under ideal conditions and a light rider, can push it up to 165 or so?
