No charge for any of these small time stuff. Its their duty to return a trouble free bike and if they fail at it theyre supposed to do it for free.
Just ask them to remove the visor and the front cowl and refit it again. Problem may return like it did for me. Gotta find a permanent solution now

Hi aargee, mine is a nov 2011 bike with Eng No: MC42Exxxxxxxxx there is no sticker in it.The only issue i have faced till now is the engine used to switch off in low gears in slow moving traffic & the bike had to be brought back to neutral to restart it(in normal condition i was able to start the bike even if it was in gear)....i even tried switching off/on the ignition switch & pressing the clutch but the bike simply refused to start in gear in the above scenario.... strangely off late the problem seems to have vanished on its own........???????????

1.i mean the bike was delivered on 11th nov but the receipt from the dealer only mentions year of manuf as 2011....no idea about the month....

2.The problem was reported to the dealer & he asked me to leave the bike at ASC for two days..honestly i was a bit scared because i didnt want them to do a R & D on my bike.............

3.i faced the problem atleast 7 to 8 times....i even squeezed the clutch lever hard to ensure i am depressing the clutch lever properly........but the moment the bike was in neutral a gentle press of the clutch lever & the bike started immediately..........

Right, but, how can they find out unless they're allowed to work on it?

Sounds weird; can't think of anything other than sensor malfunction!!! Battery probably These are one of a kind issue, fix a prior appointment if you're skeptical with ASC & then sit with them to get it fixed.

That reply didnt really satisfy me and He also said "you ride it. If there is a problem bring it to me, ill take care." I mean that isnt something you expect to hear when you go to them with a problem. Anyway my main concern is the isolated vibration near the thigh at 5k rpm.. it disappears when i rev further. I will be taking it again to the ASC. Mean while if someone you know did face this issue do give me a pointer.. Thanks
Well thats quite common but hey they do fix up the issue bro ! Whom did you meet Mr Rajasekar ? Anyways I will be going this friday to didar tnagar to get my discs get checked .. may be if you are free we can meet up there and check the noise ! What say bro

Well, if you're confident fix a prior time with ASC & demonstrate the issue to them. I'm very sure, CBR starts in any gear with clutch engaged & have done it before.

the problem is that yesterday evening also the bike switched off on its own in second gear but the moment i pressed the clutch & started the bike it stared without any problem but in yesterday's case the engine switched of without any sound whereas in earlier cases the bike used to come to halt abruptly with a loud noise from the engine..........

That's quite normal, happens all the time even with the regular engine kill switch

Bike switching off on its own sounds weird; may be you'll have to engage the clutch right; I find it quite inconvenient on 1st & 2nd between 17-22 Kmph speed where 1st is little more & 2nd is little less. On such occasion, 2nd needs a little support with clutch. Not sure if you're talking about this scenario.

Two reasons I can think off...
                            1. SHIMs due for change; ask ASC to check the valve clearance & give you a report (if you ask, they're supposed to give it for you)
                            2. Engine bed bolt needs to be tightened to torque specification

Other rattling that I heard off is at the front cowl, check if yours appears from that area, which can be resolved by simply removing & fixing it back.

Edit - BTW, what's the clock on your ODO?

But some times Front disk brake lever goes completely free ,,Like Clutch lever

thats why i am more concerned ,, bec it could lead to an accident

                              • Is there any probs in using the engine kill switch frequently?
In Bangalore traffic as most of the signal times are high, I use the engine kill switch to off and with in another 100-200 meters there will be another signal. and after the switch is on the fuel injection pump gets on. Does it cause any problem to the pump when used more frequently.
