    - When did you take the delivery?
    - What's the clock on ODO?
AFAIK, they don't replace SHIMs at free of cost even if the bike is under warranty.

Who said? The mechanic or the service manager? If its mechanic, then you only need to believe it 10%, if its SM, then may be 50% (remaining 50% once they replace at free)

The call for free replacement is taken by HMSI & not ASC though.

that was said when the sales guy (whom i approached while purchasing) the sm and the cbr mechanic all were present.
on the other hand, when they took it for d day. i noticed that in the process they chipped off the paint of the side fairing a little. i complained about that too and they said they will do the touching work when i put it for shims. is that okay??

          • Installed a K&N performance air filter and an HID kit on my CBR. The bike is so much smoother and free revving now. I love the difference that just an air filter upgrade made.

Next up - Change of tyres to Pirelli Sport Demons. Must do this before the rainy season starts since the stock tyres are absolute crap on even slightly damp roads.

Actually mine were also replaced free of cost. Btw a shim costs 250 and at the most 4 will be changed(depending on the clearence). And they charge 250 for labour if not done under warranty.

offlate, i had been experiencing issues with my engine. it had rattling sound coming from the engine. when i contacted asc, they kept the bike for a day and said that my shims needs to be changed. now they say that they have placed the order and it will take atleast a month to get the shims.
                          my questions are:
is there any harm if i keep riding till then?
wil the shims be replaced under warranty or i need to pay for them?
today, one of the guy at asc told me to drop an email to hmsi, will it actually work?
                          Hi
I would suggest not to ride the bike till the shims are replaced. Even if you have to, then see to it that you ride very slowly & calmly.

Yes the shim are covered under warranty as per to my SVC & they did change mine for free.

Don't remember the model number, it was the conical performance filter. Don't remember the breakup but I guess it cost around 2.5-3k including fitting.

Without projectors But the bulb has got a cap at the end so that light only reflects off the headlight reflector and not directly onto the oncoming traffic.

Dear srivaatsav I can verify that it does not work, do not get fooled by their video as the video does not use the ABS they are selling you, its a total waste of money and no ABS, the cost of putting two of these on the bike will cost 2K whereas C-ABS from HMSI costs 30K more there is a vast difference and no comparison between the two.
Guys test out both the ABS and standard model before buying, apply full breaks on water and gravel if you have the grit, you will know the difference & be abled to make an informed choice.
