  • Yes, what's more in one additional week if you're able to get hold on the latest manufactured stock. IMHO, opt for ABS instead of STD, its worthy enough. Wednesday is auspicious enough.

OTOH I'm wonder what's happening with Princesirohi with his loan approval & CBR Any updates mate?

    • why honda is not introducing without fairing version of CBR250 in india.extra plastic may be removed.look of the bike becomes bulky.plastic is useless.these japanese companies have some miss understanding about mind set of indian bikers.companies are thinking that indian bikers like bulky looking bike.

Congrats dude... My honest advice to all. Buy your Honda from anywhere but Saphire. The sales guy was to call me up yesterday evening, but he did not. So I called him up today morning, all he could tell me was that my Bike would take an additional 10-15 days to deliver!
My friend who booked duke, who was quoted 90 days to delivery, got a call today saying that his bike has gone in for registration. They have been dilly dallying with their dates and timings. Im not sure I will get it in 15 days either. Horrible sales team, shame on you saphire Honda.

Bajaj pre-sales team is way better than Honda. In fact, as soon as I'm in bangalore, I'm going to take it up with Honda.
I mean, after paying full cash for a bike, they cannot even tell me when they will get an allotment of bike! Ridiculous!

          • New bike sales being put off for the budget effect??

Everyone who is waiting for bikes to arrive/in loan procedures.
Have you considered that the sales guys may be dilly-dallying to make room for the budget effect?
if i am not mistaken, there is a standard disclaimer for bookings which says something like " Prices on the date of delivery applies"

Someone in delhi got delivery of Tri. He has posted it on team-bhp.com > Motorbikes > Honda CBR250R Facelift
Well, its really sad that Honda dealers resort to such tactics. I will take it up with Honda as soon as Im back from vacation.

Thank you for the welcome and liking my previous post. As a lawyer, I normally get to write boring pompous officious schtuff, but when I'm talking about things with Engines, I guess the right brain takes over.

Update: Finished loan paperwork, paid down payment and Bike will come home next Wednesday.

You won't find difficult for the 6 days to move in that week. but the last day will seems like years
Also my opinion on booking the bike is Saphire Honda JP Nagar. Its not about buying the bike from any showroom, there's hardly nothing, but the after sales and service is the BIG picture. I haven't find any SVC this much caring(atleast for the CBR) and there's a very good mechanic named Zeeshan who takes care of his work with pride and pleasue(If you think I am lil over doing, ask any CBR bangalorians who service their bikes in Saphire). At the end of the day you can do the service in any SVC is not a problem, but buying and servicing the bike in one place is better I would say.
So my verdict is ditching the Ananda Honda Dealer for this reason won't hurt
P.S Sorry this is just my thought. Its your choice...

Can't agree more. My friend booked the Ninja250R with full cash and they made him wait for around 80 days for getting the bike which he needed to fight with them every day. And another friend who bought the N250R using loan got the bike under 30 days. Also Saphire Honda service is the best AFAIK...

Yup, I have heard good stuff about the JP Nagar Saphire. I'm, without doubt, going to give my bike there for servicing.
And my purchases from Bajaj (Pulsar 180/Avenger) has been fantastic. Also, as I have mentioned before, Duke purchase by my buddy has also been exceptional.
I do not mind having to wait. But waiting without a time frame or giving unrealistic timelines is something annoying.
Also the sales person was adamant that they only got 1 unit, yet there quite a few who claim otherwise.
In any case, this will be the last time I will be paying full cash in advance. I think it was a mistake to do so. I should have paid them only once the Bike is ready for PDI.

Now if they stretch it beyond march, then I will have to pay even more. Thanks to the new budget.
