Yes, it can be replace under warranty but the company will charge you the depreciation cost of your existing tyre.

Brother even tho there is puncture will they still take it ? What do you say ...going to ASC would work or Directly to Conti ?

IMHO......please approach to ASC where you service your bike regularly (hope you build a good rapot with them already), and claim the warranty by point out the crack (not the puncture)...from there on they will take care of the warranty claim procedure.

ASC guys (service-in-charge) may ask you to submit Xerox copy of bluebook/smart card and also need the engine no. and tyre no.as well as the date of purchase,ODO reading. So keep the service book/manual handy.

Thats all...

As you got deep puncture in your tyre u may get less discount/claim in the replace tyre...at the worst case.

Don't go directly to Conti/tyre dealer....they give you some stupid reason and make you believe it all your fault that you drive the bike in road

.

Thats all my personal experience. Though it can be different in other place/dealership.

hi all,
This is nalir from chennai and i presently own a cbr250r but,now at present i face some problems like when my bike is on the run the engine off"s suddenly.now my disc pad got worn out within 4000km...

any solution to my problem ???

Nalir - You can tone down & still get answers

Pads wearing off at 4K kms...well when did you buy the bike?

Would like to understand in depth on this issue; one of the fellow CBR mate had the same issue & finally found it was due to improper methods when releasing the clutch. I don't intent to say its the same case with you, but, I'm quite sure such things cannot happen unless there're some bigger issues.

hey bro i've paid Rs.3100 for Dunlop tyre same as ur's.. i know i've paid more but i dont have ny other option as i stay in Thar Desert

well i've never tried for gurantee on bike tyres..

but yes as per my experiance on my suv's n buses.. tyre companies dont give gurantee if its any kind of puncture or blast coz of stone.. but thats case of 4wheelers..

CBR on Touring Duty

Hello all..
attached are some fotos.. for the ppl who doubt on CBR's touring capablities..
i've done 22 days trip n covered 5500kms crossed 5-6 states.. it was fun.. n no issues in the machine

btw got milage of 40+ on highways at 100-120kph

what else i can ask frm my bby

Thanks for sharing those pic, maybe it is off-topic but can't help myself....what is the use of Steel container/jar which is hanging from your bike ?

That's steel MUG.. Used as only vessel for coocking food, making tea n eating (Ppl make peg for dinking too

) while camping on ride.. Also been used for taking bath on river or well n washing bike

has ny one used shell 10/40 engine oil for the cbr??
if so.how is it?.....
and my 2nd service is coming up....the pads have another 1k in them,but should i change it???..touch wood no other issues?
should i check ny thing in particular in the 2nd service??

CBR gurus and "doctors" pls advice.

what could be the reason for getting continuous rattling sound from the front of the bike at 4500 rpm. its really annoying. when i approach ASC, they dont do much about it, just wash the bike thoroughly and give it back saying it was the dust in your front fork.

on the other hand, i ended up having quiet harsh words with the ASC guy regarding the issues of my shims, now m wondering to just go there tomorrow and leave the bike with them only. i dont want to do this as i know they will ruin the bike even more, but cant see other option as well. anyone here who can guide or suggest me about wat to do???

Option #1 - If you're nervous about leaving the bike to them, ask for valve clearance report; it takes nearly a day because they've to remove the fairings & open up the head. They might probably wait for the engine to cool & then open in the afternoon (other option is to leave the vehicle previous day evening or almost at closing time, but this depends upon your rapport with ASC). Talk to them & have a mutual understanding on the work timing.

Option #2 - Talk to the service manager of the dealer; explain to him/her about your concern on the vibration & make them understand your expectation, so as to get a personal assurance from him/her on your vehicle's supervision to fix the issue.

Option #3 - Take to another ASC; chances are quite high that they'll fix the issue.

Where ever you take, talk with the people first & agree upon a time that is convenient for both of you. This is very important for people like us as we want things to be fixed right at first time & not taken for a ride.

mr,aargee,really you have very good knowledge of each and every thing.please post a classification of all bikes among sports,track bike,touring bike,and commuters bike.i do not know technical words for these classes.please do it.it will really help a common man very much.i do not know what is sitting position on honda cbr.i want to purchase it but have two problems.first one front fairings i dislike these things.these are useless.second thing sitting position.i use to go on bike at my daily trips just for fun but sitting position like r15 does not suit me.please post classification.
