this was bound to happen. with sales dipping every passing day due to newer models and more options available now they are shoing the cost cutting on parts which give them more space for margins at same price... sad tacttics thought which only happens in india...Originally posted by tensor View Post

I should have checked part before I let mechanic open fairing and tank. A painful process to replace a switch.Originally posted by theironhorse99 View Postthis was bound to happen. with sales dipping every passing day due to newer models and more options available now they are shoing the cost cutting on parts which give them more space for margins at same price... sad tacttics thought which only happens in india...

I didn't get replacement done, I would keep using original as long as I can. Light works when I put something beneath the switch.
This replacement is covered under warranty, however, I asked about cost and they quoted around 1900 bucks (which I think - not value for money, poor quality).

Hello all,
I have a extra headlight assembly of pulsar 220. Can it fit the baby ceeber.
If not then, please suggest some bulbs for pilot lights and the main bulb, so that light spread will be improved for night riding. Because stock bulbs really Sucks.
Please suggest only those things in which the fuse and electronics stay intact. I am also ready to drop the projector idea..if it will hamper the electricals.
Regards,
Sanjay

It sure saves battery but from the pictures when the brake is applied the LEDs aren't as bright as the stock bulb.Originally posted by pronoy_banerjee View PostGot my black bird an led tail lamp.
Though not very bright, saves a lot of power.
This is a 42 smd led I got off eBay. Now the horn does not change tone when the break light come on.
But I hope its just the pic and in real world there's enough light to make others notice that you're slowing down

True, the LED is not as bright as the Filament bulb; however, there is a significant change in the intensity when the brake is applied.Originally posted by christo View PostIt sure saves battery but from the pictures when the brake is applied the LEDs aren't as bright as the stock bulb.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
You can very well go with philips extreme vision (12v 60/55 W H4) which i have been using for over a year.Originally posted by sanjaysangar1990 View PostHello all,

Though it is difficult to see the difference in the above picture of the stock i.e Life H4 (on the left ) vs philips extreme vision (on the right), have posted the above picture just for the sake of reference.I got the same for my bike for RS 600.

[QUOTE=sanjaysangar1990;1117722]Hello all,
I have a extra headlight assembly of pulsar 220. Can it fit the baby ceeber. It can surely fit if you introduce a projector setup.
If not then, please suggest some bulbs for pilot lights and the main bulb, so that light spread will be improved for night riding. Because stock bulbs really Sucks. When did you get your cbr? The early lots did not have any problem with spread or illumination at night. The reflector was of good kind that gave a nice throw of light at night.
Please suggest only those things in which the fuse and electronics stay intact. I am also ready to drop the projector idea..if it will hamper the electricals. Have you heard of relays? They really do the trick of lessening the output on your battery side. I have seen many cbrs doing good with HID projectors.sigpic
Your bike is way better than babes, only thing is that you need a proper vision to mull over this fact. :D

I am thinking to opt for this Philips extreme vision and try it for some time. If happy then will continue with it or else projector setup I see the ultimate option

Thanks for the reply.
Its 2013 model.
From my experience the stock bulb really sucks at night:banghead:.
I can go for projector setup if there are good mechs/ electrical expert kind of guys who does the job and I dont have to worry about the electricals going kaput.
I know projector setup will void the warranty, but I am ready to take a chance on this if there are good mechs available in mumbai.
I would request CBR 250 gurus
to put up some light on my light query

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Forgot to ask you this. If you are using this philips extreme bulb, any issues faced with battery draining in short time or any load on battery or did you increase the capacity of your battery from stock to live with philips bulb ??Originally posted by gopakumar s pillai View PostYou can very well go with philips extreme vision (12v 60/55 W H4) which i have been using for over a year.

No never did i face any problem of battery draining after using philips extreme vision bulb nor i have increased the capacity of the battery.Originally posted by sanjaysangar1990 View PostForgot to ask you this. The stock battery was replaced last year with sonic SF and and pretty happy with it.In fact the bike was left in the parking nicely covered and the battery disconnected from the terminal for around 6 and half months, believe me after returning from my work after the earlier mentioned period the bike started in the very first attempt.Somehow i was was not a big fan of the original battery the bike came with as it had troubled me on numerous occasions despite of taking very good care of it.
