Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Not 4700Kms..... I mentioned the Kms covered with that particular tyre.
      Dunlops covered 22,700Kms..

I am currently using the Viaterra Rapide saddlebags. It is a great product, if you wish to give up a little storage space for comfort and non-interference in your riding dynamics. I have used the saddlebags with a pillion as well, and if am not wrong, combined they should have space of around 40-45 ltrs. But, the fit and finish is top notch, and it is only going to set you back by 2900.

Thanx for the info bro. Anyways I like to travel as light as possible, so doing away with some space is okay. Could you share some pic of Rapide mounted on the bike please??? Did you also get a raincover free with the saddlebags?

No problem man, I do have a few pics with the saddlebags mounted, but can post them only later in the night. The saddlebags do come with rain liners free, and they also have a velcro strap to make sure they stay in place. You can check out their product page, wherein the mounting procedure is demonstrated on a CBR itself, that should give you a fair feel of the bags on the bike. Rapide

Edit: I dug up this review from Xbhp. Not sure if its of any help. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...ra-rapide.html

Thanks for the link bro. Will surely go through the links. Though a couple of pics of saddlebags on CBR would have been convincing. Post them when you get time, I am in no hurry.

The manager a nice chap, though totally uninformed, we had a fireside chat regarding the upgrades, which, again, obviously he was totally clueless to, but he's just said, waiting period would be 1 to 1.5 months for the CBR 250R and there was no mention of the production being halted. Are we being trolled here?

Thats true, its still in production. I booked CBR250R in January as I dont like the fairing style of upcoming model. current one looks gorgeous from front to me. I talked to dealer about the roumer which says the current model production stopped and inventory clearance is happening. sales manager asked sales person to call someone to confirm the production, he called and came to me and said current model is still in production. So I asked for 2015 manufactured one and booked. waiting period is around 2 months. I will get it my end of March or April beginning. but again I had doubt in mind, so called Honda customer care directly and asked whether i will get a 2015 manufactured bike and he said yes and its still in production.

Definitely. I know 9th and 10th digits of the framer number represents the quarter and year of manufacture. so what will be those 9 and 10th letter if it manufactured in first quarter of 2015?

Back to the forum after a month or so break. How is everything going mates?

Can you guys tell me, what should be ideal process to keep our CBR safe for 6 months in unused condition. I will be staying outside of county for next 6 months or so. Apart from basic things like keeping empty fuel tank and disconnecting battery shall I take some extra care to it?

Another thing is my side stand having some noise after I park the bike. ASVC guy checked and told me there won't be any issues but I'm not satisfied with the answer.

remove battery all together and keep it seperate in house.
remove 100% fuel. or as much as you can.
                          cover it well.
check air pressure. low air pressure can cause flat spots on tyres.
ask someone to get the battery charged once a month else use old working UPS to charge and discharge...
lube chin generously with gear oil

                          that should do it.

What if I just remove battery cable at keep it inside bike? Keeping battery dry for 6 months will kill it?
And whats your view on side stand?

yes keeping the battery idle for 6 months will for sure kill atleast a few cells in it.. ideally you are loosing a battery. else give it to another cbr friend and ask him to use his and your battery in rotation.

nothing bout the side stand. you can leave t as it is. make sure tyre pressure is correct and not low

My CBR has done 10k kms and September '11 model.
While going over bad roads its sending all the feedback on to the handle bars causing pain to the wrist , elbows and neck.
Any solutions ? Would thicker fork oil from motul be useful ??
