Hope you're aware that this is suitable only for ABS & not STD models.

@safi - I haven't understood a thing nor had patience to go through the post because of the complex SMS language which is against the forum rules.

The only thing i can guess is you are lugging the bike. If your bike is at approx 3K RPM and you twist throttle (to a large degree) then you would feel some noise untill the RPM gets past 5K. This is normal and sign of lugging. Ride in a gear lower and probably you would not hear the sound.

How come The engine oil itself Rs 850 odd; engine oil filter is around Rs 260, unless the cable was provided at free of cost

          PS - What about consumables?

I still have not got any answer other than the one quoted above for my question . Experts please comment . Just for knowledge sake, What is the disadvantage of using motul fs 15 w 50 ? is it because of the cost or any other reason ?

              @aargee
Thanks for providing the detailed FAQ. It's very useful for those who wish to buy this bike. Maybe you can also include the mileage and performance figures that new owners or prospective buyers can expect ?

Please find above the link to the ebay item listing i purchased it from. Shipping for the first item is 8$, and for each consecutive item is 1.5$, so it helps to order multiple items.

P.S:- Please note that i cannot vouch for the performance or quality of the pads, as i have not received them yet, but Ram a.k.a thefastestindian, says they are very good.

Haven't you read it properly? If so, you wouldn't have missed reading
                  Q. What is the FE?
                  A. Depends on riding style. Most people get about 30/31 Kmpl on speeds around 115-120 Kmph; lower speeds give you more FE; again, this is based on riding skills too.

                  Q. What is the fuel tank capacity? We need more fuel in reserve in FI engine isn't it? How much is it?
                  A. Around 13 litres for full tank; Yes so as to cool the fuel pump & submerged; 3 litres in reserve

                  Q. So usable is 10 litres & how much does a full tank yield in highway?
                  A. You can expect a safe range between 250-275 Kms on excessive speeds; however several owner's have posted their range to be 300 Kms on sane high speeds.

                  Q. Hello...your math is wrong; 275/10 is only 27.5 Kmpl
                  A. Well, that is the worst FE with Throttle.Wide.Open; if you ride sane high speeds (speeds around 130ish & remember the point on how fast you get there), your FE goes up to 290 Kms range.

Thank you for your quick reply.

                    Will using these void warranty?
I heard that for some people ASC changed the break pads or lines and that probably means that it would not void the warranty.
But want to confirm as I need a break pad change in near future.

                      • CAM Tensioner Needed: Help!

During a check up at Saphire last week, I was handed over a list of spares required for my bike
                        1. Oil Filter
                        2. Cam tensioner
                        3. Chain
                        4. Chain sprockets (both)

They didnt have stock then, but I just checked today and they have everything except for Cam Tensioner ( Part No: 14520-KYJ-711 )

The earliest it will get dispatched from Honda Spares will be 10 April. They have closed down to take care of year-end accounting.

Requesting your help to check if this part is available at your ASC.

                        Thanks

If your dealer says he'll replace under warranty, then, 99% it will not be available anywhere in the country. But if you're paying for it, then, there're few chances it might be available somewhere.

Its quite a rare item, anyway, what went wrong to get this part?
