Let me say it again,be it Honda,Suzuki or Harley,no one can void the warranty as long as you use the recommended grade of oil.The manual only mentions the grade of oil and that is what you need to adhere to for warranty.Originally posted by aargee View Post^^^ What else do you want me to say? Like I said, its up to you; you can even buy the worlds best bike or Gixxer 1000 & change your engine oil next day, if there're engine issues, Suzuki will simply wash off their hands...but that's India. It doesn't work in any developed countries.
How would HMSI be making a fool of us by selling something at a lower price??Or am I missing something?Originally posted by aargee View PostOr do you think HMSI is making a fool of us by selling a 10W30 FS for a lower price than its competitors

Most of the engine oils sold by manufacturers(Yamalube,HMSI etc) are cheaper that dedicated engine oil brands like Motul etc and its not without a reason.
As I already mentioned, its about Honda being too finicky about warranty claims and bringing up lame reasons such as using other brands of engine oil to void warranty.Originally posted by aargee View PostBTW, what is there to get scared in this? What's wrong in adhering to use a 10W30 FS supplied by HMSI or what's the pleasure of being stubborn on using an expensive oil?
Where does it say that you have to adhere to use a 10W30 FS supplied by HMSI??There is nothing wrong in sticking to 10W30 FS supplied by HMSI but there is nothing wrong in using 10W30 of other brands as well.
There is nothing stubborn in using a product which has given me a better feel and performance across the bikes that I have owned over the period of years and is worth the extra price(IMHO).
Well, lets not make assumptions.I have not faced any issues with warranty with other manufacturers for this and I hope its the same with Honda as well.Originally posted by aargee View PostAnyway, read the words clearly, it MAY void the warranty is different from it WILL void the warranty. None of us have experienced on a engine issue due to engine oil change. It all depends on your rapport with the dealer as they're the ones responsible for your warranty claim. Its only for your own better safe than sorry.Sayan

Its high cause soon CENVAT is coming! They are regulating VAT at each state to match every state revenue, That when CENVAT comes, all can have equal Input Tax credit.Originally posted by aargee View Post^^^ I'd still say its a steal; new one costs Rs 3900 + 14.5%VAT (damn this amount)2011 - CBR 250R (RED, Delivered) - Happy Man! - SOLD
2014 - Royal Enfield - Classic 500 Desert Storm - Awaiting

Sick & tired!!! These will not happen!!! take my word!!! This is exactly what they said about VAT. Now there's no value, only tax gets added every year!!!Originally posted by BladeBoy View PostIts high cause soon CENVAT...all can have equal Input Tax credit.

But since he already bought a new one ... What will he do with this replaced tyre ? Thats what I was puzzled about.
CENVAT is happening! But definitely not for the benefit for consumer
Its for the sellers who have clashes with CST credit and VAT credit. But, CENVAT may throw in some proper taxation categories

Use as spare or sell probably; had he done about 2-3 days earlier, I could've got the Conti from himOriginally posted by BladeBoy View PostWhat will he do with this replaced tyre ? Thats what I was puzzled about
