He told me that the kits are for bikes from first few lots and not the current ones. He also told me that all the kits will be replaced from the same dealership from where u got the bike. And they also have the list of all the affected bikes. The list has our engine nos and chasis nos. According to him, basically the bikes that are affected are based on a certain range of engine and chassis number. I mean the bikes between x chassis number till y chaSsis number.

Are you sure mate ? Because I took my bike from "x" and service it with "y" ... Are you sure that I have to contact "X"? I got my bike on 7th July !!

Mine was from the very first batch. I got the delivery in april. Call your asc. They are supposed to have the list. But if your bike has no issues then dont worry, the replacement kit only has bolts and grab rails.

i got a relay and am trying to make it work, but it doesnt look like its doin the work.:/
if you want to fit normal peep peep dual horn then no need of relay .just put the 1st horn on stock place and connect it wid same wire and take out 2 wires from the 1st horn and plug them in 2nd horn and goo onn wid loud peepp peepp. i am using my car dual horn and they are working fine from last 5 months.btw i honk too much .
or if u want to fit the poop poop one like in roots windtone then u may need 4 pin relay and get it connected by electration.
last time i have used relay in my karizma but forgot the wiring how the mach fitted those wiring in relay.

                • ^ read lots about the 3 pin,4 pin and 5 pin relays and installed one myself.
Installed a heavy duty car horn(7A IIRC).

P.s: i had roots windtone on my cbr...but it went kaput within a month!..:/ . . so sticking with regular electrical horns. & the one i have currently, it'll demand respect from autos and cages for sure..:P

P.s2: I need 2 10A fuse for my cbr... i tried lookin around, but was not able to find the size required for the bike...anyone found a compatible?....currently running on another 10A jugaad setup.

Recently got roots windtone, that requires 12a battery.
so, have to use relay. It has 4 pins 2 will be connected with the socket which are already there, for third we need to take a seperate wire from battery and from 4th output will be given to horn.

p.s - Roots windtone comes with 3months warranty
