    • Thanks argee for correcting "Brake shoe...Brake pad" and chain slider...plastic...rubber. It is imp that we use correct terms for all to understand.

Regarding engine oil I am sure that Motul 300V will be much smoother than Honda Throttle and I am changing though my SVC guy says it will void warranty but as such I plan to give her the Joel treatment soon so warranty doesn't matter much and what I think if things are OK till 65XX of hard riding things are alright. I will pen my experience with Motul soon as some long rides are planned in coming months.

Yes am also eagerly waiting for your reviews. Couple of days back @RanjithMN changed to Mobil which is the same xxW40 grade, he also suggested to use Motul 300V but it was not available. Waiting to hear from you two guys as am not completely satisfied with the Honda FS...

            • Small question.

I find my bike pretty smooth, but in 6th gear at around 5K rpm I find vibration (high frequency low amplitude) in right hand which is making it numb.
              Anybody feeling same problem?

My bike has clocked only 200 km, will smoothness be increased after first service?

That inner part is called the dB killer. It is there to reduce the sound levels to almost acceptable limits.

Never personally experienced this. In fact, for me, at 5K RPM in 6th gear its actually pretty smooth. Of course, with 200km on the ODO, your bike is bound to get smoother after the 1st service. Btw, if this vibration still persists when you give your bike for the first service, don't forget to mention it to the mech. It might be due to some loose nuts as well.

Take it to HSS & have a check on Fork Crown Race Set-up. If worn out, replace it. That should solve the issue. Having said that how many kms have you clocked till date?

It is not normal for oil to just leak in any part of the bike unless it's been sent for scrap. On a serious note, the Head Gasket Packing is off in ur bike & you probably need to replace it before more oil runs out.

                        • went on a trip to raipur day before yesterday and returned yesterday night
was a short trip of about 100 km
the CBR feels at home on the highways
was limiting myself to 5k rpm as only 300 on oddo(due to exam on 21st)
the bike felt smoother after 200 km on oddo

i don't feel vibrations on the bars but near the right knee, same high frequency low amplitude

                          a little ot on safety
on 22 st went to nagpur on the 220 (as the registration paper of the CBR have no been delivered )
on the road from bhandara to nagpur two idiots on a passion were playing serpentine(waving the bike in the whole lane)
I gave a horn & they started riding normally , as i was about to overtake he started waving his bike again , our handle bars clashed
                          i was like
for a moment i thought me & my pavilion are goners ,but was able to manage the bike
i stopped the bike on the roadside as soon as possible took a breather , the guys on the passion took off till then after being scolded by the suv driver & truckers behind us

while returning the top of the truck in front of us hit a tree branch and an inch in diameter and about 2 inches long hit the left my helmet and the pavilions hand which got scratched

i had a helmet, gloves, jacket & kneepads on me & my pavilion did not wear jacket or elbow pads

both me and my pavilion learned the importance of safety gears

On reaching my flat he (pavilion) took the lappie started searching for a decent jacket & is planning to buy it soon
