Araey Kimshine, if you haven't had an accident before, Thank your stars & God.

All of us an educated xBhp members ride very responsibly; I don't know about Delhi, but here in Chennai (and especially AP & Bangalore) people are mad; completely mad; except coming from sky to earth, they do all circus. I ride during non peak hours, still, some Son of gun successfully dented my rear number plates while waiting at Signal (Damn it, those alone costed my Rs 600+; Utsav)

The point is no matter how careful we are, there're idiots on the road who cause accidents; so atleast to protect from them...wear it everyday. Go through riding gears thread, one of our xBhpian reported an incident where he had to wait along with a Govt garbage truck at a signal & the careless dumb #%@#$ opens the door & it hit our friend's head; Thank God, he was wearing an helmet. That bl*** gives a sheepish smile & gets away. Our friend says he was just riding for a Km or so to meet a friend & this incident happened!!!

Last but not the least as we're going complete OT on CBR 250R ownership thread, use the Oxford paint protector film (the best money could buy), or cheaper alternatives like cellophane tape or learn not to hold the tank with the knees. Wearing riding gears doesn't harm, but not wearing one could sometimes

      • I Totally agree.with Aagree., fools.r everywhere shockingly aged people r jumping signals.. if anything happens its always d fault of younger generation, weird mentality though. CEAT Tyre advertisement is a mere reality in India if a smaller vehicle bang a CBR. people support d smaller vehicle saying d cbr was fast. Its a tough job to avoid people from banging u from behind.

        • Kimshine - Not to argue, but with genuine interest to see from your point of view, I tried to see if my knee guards are damaging the tank. Well, it didn't; here're some pics, so that you can try to see if my seating posture could help you or correct if we'd overlooked anything.

          See the gap

Point 1 is where thigs hit the tank very slightly, 2 is where the knees are, again they don't touch & 3 onward the gap widens

Point 1 is where butt goes far behind the rider's seat (ideal position to be seated than near the fuel tank), 2 is knees, 3, same position as above pic & 4 is where thigs

Finally the top view, as you can see the points 1, 2 & 3 where only 3 touches the tank; call it brushing if you want to. Even if my JR riding pants, the fuel tank remains intact.

Knee pads used is this one...

          Sorry about the OT

I have seen this on many bikes including one i refused to accept (brand new bike).

WEll some how mine did it ,, just above that black plastic

may be Design of knee pads top part is different from urs

but its good after all ,so it's me not the Pads
and while i ride i ride with more inclined position but u ride with more upright position

                    that's the huge difference

thanks for the post ,reply and time taken out for the picks

                      • Consider both knee safety and prevent tank from scratches. Buy a tank knee pad it usually is best to buy in a set consisting knee pad and tank pad together so that it looks alike.

                        • Few days earlier i was having the problem of gear shifting smoothness and that my right footpeg was vibrating in 4th gear after 5K RPM so went to service centre MY WINGS (PUNE) at around 11clk the guy told me to come at 2clk. So i went there at 2 the job wasnt done as usual in india (i dont knw wht i was hoping for) + i found 1 scratch on tank it made me angry but i kept it cool (every human makes mistakes) . So that guy told me to come at 4 clk i said ok . In mean time wel My Wings honda have a SMS service too in the morning arnd 11 there was 1 msg at 1st i ignored it in mornin but i later checked it and man there actual quote was "Dear Customer ,thanks for leaving your CBR 250R at our service center for OTHERS" i was like . I was having the list of authorized dealer's found out that it wasnt 1 of them. I was literally screwed didnt knw what to do . I tried to convince myself that everything will be ok as i saw many Cbr's for servcing over there ( i m not d only 1 ) . By that time it was 4clk went there bike was ready i inspected it everything seems ok (no more scratches ) . Took my bike on NH4 for inspection(hand on my heart ) i was up for suprise the bike felt like i just bought it today itself i was very happy and the vibration was also gone .. Job well done ( already forgot about the scratch ).. Went home happy..

Past two weeks from 7th April I drove my CBR around 550+ KMs in all daylight.Last I drove the bike Sat 14th around 85+ KMs and that too in the daylight...no use of any HeadLight. (Practically almost never rode the bike in the dark i,e Headlight ON)
Neel, I had a similar problem and Honda guys diagnosed it to be a battery failure. I got my battery replaced under warranty and no further issues till now...
