+1 All I see is a single module that sits between the Brake Hydraulic tube and the caliper. There are no mechanisms to measure the wheel speed ( and relative speed between front and rear wheel). So I really doubt its effectiveness. Besides, for ABS to pulsate, there has to be a motor, or a valve, which would require electricity to actuate. There are none here.Originally posted by nsengg View PostDear srivaatsav I can verify that it does not work, do not get fooled by their video as the video does not use the ABS they are selling you, its a total waste of money and no ABS, the cost of putting two of these on the bike will cost 2K whereas C-ABS from HMSI costs 30K more there is a vast difference and no comparison between the two.
Guys test out both the ABS and standard model before buying, apply full breaks on water and gravel if you have the grit, you will know the difference & be abled to make an informed choice.CBR250R Black 'n' Silver

the projectors are insisted with the hid because of this very reason, the reflectors (designed for stock bulb types) will be a overkill for hid setups.Originally posted by HellsFury View PostWithout projectors
But the bulb has got a cap at the end so that light only reflects off the headlight reflector and not directly onto the oncoming traffic.

I ride with the low beam on 95% of the time. I do not believe that it will blind oncoming traffic. The place I went to did not have any projectors. Any idea on where I can source them?Originally posted by xxbomb View Postthe projectors are insisted with the hid because of this very reason, the reflectors (designed for stock bulb types) will be a overkill for hid setups.

Post 4th service report - there's a slight noise noticed in the engine, may be the SHIM's are worn out minute. The damn mechanic at JSP didn't even bother to open the engine despite I'd written in the JC to give the valve clearance report. No drop in pickup or top speed noticed, same roads, same speeds. Vibrations are certainly less but little more than a brand new motorcycle. Tire pressure may also be a reason as I'm still riding with a worn out tire that has puncture.
Wheel balancing was not done due to lack of the same. Heard that XL tyre center is coming up with equipment to balance motorcycle wheels across all their service centers in about 2 months time
If time permits, I'll make a B'Fast ride this Sunday morning to check up once again.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

yes hid will blind oncoming traffic even on low beam.Originally posted by HellsFury View PostI ride with the low beam on 95% of the time. I do not believe that it will blind oncoming traffic. The place I went to did not have any projectors. Any idea on where I can source them?
i have experienced this thing myself. i use hid in my all cars and used hid in my r15 too and its gud for night riding.
for projecters you need diffrent hid bulb H7 . and in stock cbr we get H4 bulb and it has both high low beam but in H7 bulb you will only get single beam (high). here in delhi its avelabile every were don't know about your city.Hero Honda Karizma: 2008 - SOLD

Gokul, academic interest only, who is your ASC? So that I can avoid that one once the Bike comes home...Originally posted by Go-cool View PostLOL...hope that would work atleast.
To be honest, I m getting a little tired of these frequent visits to ASC. The factor is not those visits, but issues keep popping up after these visits
I dont want to give up on my baby. My only hope is that my ASC is a waste of time..need to visit a better one soon.

Tri-Color - First Look Report - Naah!
Folks
I waited almost 2 weeks with an approved loan and down-payment ready for the Tri-color.
Got desperate today and started calling up every ASC number I could find to see if anyone has taken delivery of the Tri-color.
Hit pay-dirt with Sapphire Honda, JP Nagar. Akkhl, their Customer Rep asked me to come take a look in the evening.
Driving from Koramangala to JP Nagar during evening traffic is unbearably painful, so commandeered the Bajaj Eliminator from my team mate and rode to JP Nagar (why sit and fume in an A/c car when you can eat dirt and head-sweat inside the Helmet
)
At first glance from a distance, it looks darn attractive. I had the team-mate with me (his temperament is much sober than mine in these matters). With all three colors (Black, Red and Tri-color) lined up, he made a beeline for the black - said if it was his choice, this is what he would chose.
For some reason, when seen side by side, tri-color looks smaller than Black or Red. Also, it looks real jazzy now, but jazzy can get real old real soon....Bottom line, I feel I wasted couple of weeks... I could have been turning in my Bike for first service by now if only I had stuck to my original plan...
I loved the Black, but Black's out for me - my li'l princess would slowly rip me to pieces if I brought another black vehicle (personally, car or bike, its either black or white for me). She still hasn't forgiven me for the Black Swift VDi ABS - truth be told, its a pain in you-know-where to keep that car shining, so I've given up and doesn't wash it anymore
So, Red - its safe (me and the li'l one took the first TD on a Red Std from Dream Honda), its available, it uncomplicates the approved loan scenario and it works better for me than too much jazz... I know some here will disagree and say there's nothing like too much jazz, but couple of years will see me hit 40 and I guess I'll be happy to have a Red Seductress to soothe my male menopause pains
But as they say in the US Army, pain's good - it means you're still alive
I'm planning to finish up the formalities tomorrow morning at Ananda Honda and hope to take the redhead home day after tomorrow. Taking a copy of the PDI checklist I found on this forum with me...
Wish me luck, folks.
PS: cant stop smiling at the thought.....
PPS: My friend took a picture of me on the Tri-color, but I'm fat, so not posting the pic

They said they have blocked it for me while paying the down payment. Will bug em today..
Jazzy hmmm.... They way I see it is, If Tri Color gets old, I will repaint it (perhaps perl white, or matt finish or something
).
Yeah, there were a lot of confusion with respect to the Loan. Thats why I decided to pay it up in cash...
In any case, I like my bikes in bold colours
. I had a purple Pulsar 180cc (Remember the classic pulsars?) and my current Avenger is in Red. Needless to say, I'm not a subtle person...
