Re: Honda CBR 250R
Which dealer? I ask this becauseOriginally posted by Mysterious Stranger View PostI booked at coimbatore, TN. On-road is around 1.76 l though the dealer said it may change 1 or 2k at the time of delivery. He said he will be delivering within 50 days.
- Chandra Honda washed hands telling they can't confirm anything.
- Presanna Honda told me they do not have a test drive bike ready as the battery had drained, and asked me to try with some other Honda showroom!
- Suryabala Honda guy told me he has heard rumors of an updated version, and thus he cant confirm what will be delivered after 2 months! He also told me I can book it for 1,000 INR.
None of the three showrooms took my contact number or told me anything concrete even about the test ride I requested !

I booked at Pollachi, my home town. I contacted suryabala they promised they would deliver it within a 1.5 months. You can contact alagappan at suryabala he was the guy who gave me the info. Rest of the guys were saying what you have said above. Even within the showroom each person gives different answers.Originally posted by Auto View PostWhich dealer? I ask this because

Regarding test drives yep none have a test drive available. Even I did not do a test drive. i tried CBR 150 i know it is way different from 250.Last edited by Mysterious Stranger; 11-13-2014, 05:15 PM.

That's so bad! buying a 2L bike without even getting the feel of it... this needs to change, they need to make sure we customers get to experience it, and that ride should make us feel compelled to put the money on that bike !Originally posted by Mysterious Stranger View PostI booked at Pollachi, my home town. Re: Honda CBR 250R
No dealer is ready to take booking for CBR 250. They don't know whats happening, they say production has been stopped(I believe it is true) I called honda customer care, they say bike is available and ask me to register a complaint against the dealer. They say dealers do this when they don't have availability. Dealers say that customer care people dont have an idea on the supplies.Originally posted by Auto View PostThat's so bad! buying a 2L bike without even getting the feel of it... this needs to change, they need to make sure we customers get to experience it, and that ride should make us feel compelled to put the money on that bike !
.
With all these odds we have to go ahead with booking.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Recently went to the ktm showroom in cochin to take a look at the rc, they have the kawasaki's in the same room, I asked for a test of the z250 and the ninja 300, this is their reply:Originally posted by Auto View PostThat's so bad! buying a 2L bike without even getting the feel of it... this needs to change, they need to make sure we customers get to experience it, and that ride should make us feel compelled to put the money on that bike !
"No we don't give kawasakis for test drive, people who buy usually test their friends bike and come"
The rc was readily given though" life is boring. its static, monotonous and depressing. At least up until i flip the switch and press the starter, that's when i go...OH BABY!"

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Today I visited 3 Honda dealers in Pune (Kothari, Pashankar and Rohan). I got a test drive in Rohan and Pashankar S'nagar which was enough to know about the bike, but the problem is that they all have only 1 Red colour Standard bike in the inventory, sitting in a yard somewhere, and my gut feel says this is the same bike referred to by all dealers.
I was looking for a Repsol edition, with ABS and none of the dealers were very enthusiastic about availability of the same. Some said that it will take 2-3 months if I book now and some went to extent of saying that they are not sure about production.
After all the research and planning, it is a dampener to be in this situation. At the same time if I am positive, hoping that inventory clearance by Honda means the new version launch is imminent

Better to wait it out buddy, you don't want to end up with a older version and find ut in 2 months a newer fresh update is on its way.Originally posted by meer View PostToday I visited 3 Honda dealers in Pune (Kothari, Pashankar and Rohan). First when i asked they were looking at each other on what is CBR 250 R and suddenly one guy may be the main manager said we have it.,
I asked him how long it will take for CBR Repsol ABS he said you have to do 50% payment for the same and waiting period is 45 days.
I asked him thrice that is he sure about the waiting period and he was pretty confident but was adamant on 50% amount for booking.sigpic

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hello everyone,
I am posting after a long time.
I am now looking for a rear tyre. I had the Dunlop tuff grip for the rear till now and its done.
I have heard few of them using michelin pilot street radial rear and front tyres.
Can someone give any info on them about the tyre characteristics and costs compared to tuff grips?
Thankssigpic

Even I paid 50k to book the bike. The dealer was not ready to book for any lesser amount like ordinary bikes. He was adamant too.My dealer specified 50 days.Originally posted by BiKeLovER View PostI did check with one in Wagholi, it is newly opened.
