Re: Honda CBR 250R
Thank you. It's good to get a good bargain, however, I am fine with 3k including shipping. Does 'mail2servant' make those stands? If not, Can you please share the details of the guy who makes it?Originally posted by Sid85 View PostYou can get in touch with mail2servant. You might be able to bargain more if the order is more.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I have been waiting for the new face-lifted CBR250R for quite sometime now! Any idea how much longer Honda would take to launch the update 250R or the new 300R? I am now starting to wonder if this decision to wait is really worth it!

With Honda, you never know. Guess they're in wait & watch mode. I couldn't wait too long, so went for the Inazuma.Originally posted by Auto View PostI have been waiting for the new face-lifted CBR250R for quite sometime now! It's unlikely they would launch the 300R soon. What with Kawi already having a Ninja 300 & now Z250. The Zuma from Suzuki. GT 250R from Hyosung. Plus, Benelli is coming with the BN 302. Yamaha is expected to bring the R3, rather than the R25. Now, all of these are twins. And hence, expensive. You can't blame Honda to wait & assess market response now, would you?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Unfortunately, no one knows this but the Honda guys! I am too on the same boat, have decided to wait and watch the latest releases in the Indian market before making a purchase decision.. Regardless, whether Honda chooses to launch the new CBR 250R or the 300R: either ways one would be benefitted. Though it is true that honda has officially stopped the production of CBR 250R. If they decide to bring in the Indonesian version 250R to india, barring panel redesign and minute internal changes to the engine, mechanically the new CBR 250R indonesian model more or less remains the same. Thus, technically speaking production wise Honda doesn't really have to invest heavily into anything to launch this model as they already have a vendor base of the existing one in India. And the customer is also looking at roughly 28.5 bhp at the crank, 2.5 more than the current outgoing one which along with the revised gearing on the Indonesian version will result in faster acceleration and better top end.Originally posted by Auto View PostI have been waiting for the new face-lifted CBR250R for quite sometime now! If you can patiently wait till FY Jan, 2015 then you will get to see a host of other launches as well. Looking at other manufacturers: Kawasaki has also mentioned that by this year end they will launch another product, Hero HX250R is also around the corner so our jap giants: Honda or Yamaha won't wait too long.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi Guys,
I am looking for a Used CBR 250 in Bangalore under 10k kms driven for my planned December trip for Bangalore-Mumbai-Goa-Bangalore trip,
What should be the best deal for for me?
What should be the price I look for?
Is it wise to say that, can I take advantage of the present time as people are going for RC 200/RC390?
Any reply will help,
Thanks in Advance.Current

Re: Honda CBR 250R
It was quite a sad day today, as I set out on a shopping spree to get test rides of the 200+ CC bikes in the market. I visited three separate Honda showrooms, none of them had a CBR250R to test ride. All three also seemed to be least interested in selling this bike. Maybe they are happy selling Activas and Dream Yugas? Is the premium bike segment that tiny in our country?
Showroom 1: Sorry no bike to test. You can book, but we cannot tell you when you will receive the bike, not even a tentative time frame.
Showroom 2: CBR250R? we had one bike, but the battery has drained - will be back in 10 days. ( 10 days??? :-O )
Showroom 3: No you can't test the bike, we have only customer's vehicles. You can give me your name and 1000 Rs, I will take a booking, but can't guarantee anything. I think Honda is getting CBR250'RR', yes, an extra R - maybe they will have new colours, but I am not sure.
None of them cared to hand me a brochure or even take my name and number so that they can get back to me.
This was at Coimbatore, and the story is very similar when I walked into Suzuki showroom for the Inazuma and the KTM showroom for the Duke 200 !

New CBR is in the pipeline, may be that is the reason why current CBR sales has been dropped. Don't know about other Brand / Dealers.Originally posted by Auto View PostIt was quite a sad day today, as I set out on a shopping spree to get test rides of the 200+ CC bikes in the market. Yes, in many cases the gear oil is more preferred as it has more lubricating capabilities, it is very very cheap. But it comes with a disadvantage that using gear oil is very messy , the rear rim will be a pain to clean as this thick sludgy kind of residue will be there from splashes.
But the best part is if you regularly lubricate using gear oil, you will find that you get a great deal of boost in chain lifespan.
