however for your relief lemme help you fix stuff for free

first of all . place a wood stock in between and press the lever again from outer edge and it will come back to its original shape. make sure the straightened lever runs parallel to grip when engaged completely ...

second for the mirror.. remvoe the round rubber at the mount. you will find allen bolt inside. use no-6 allen key. same that came in toolkit and tighten it

Thanks bro...but the trick didn't work for me. I will take it to some local tinker shop to get it straightened. As regarding the mirror, the ball bearing inside the mirror housing seems to be rattling...

Thanks for the concern bro, I am much better now, not much except a swollen foot. Couldn't note the number though...but still be wary of all black Swifts in my locality

Bro, how much did they charge for the coneset and where was it available? I am looking to replace my coneset but City and Haiku don't have it in stock. Damn, they don't even have a 10A fuse in stock! Pathetic!

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Coneset was around 6k to 9k will check my previous bill and let you know.

The 10A fuse is specially made for CBR's..
its a mini fuse much smaller than other bikes...
Shoot a mail to the Honda 2 wheelers..

I had sent emails and the first two times they sent some other bikes fuse.. must be CBF stunners..
Then after third mail I got the right fuse.. they sent around 6, I purchased three and placed it in extra slots just in case for future.

Anyways .. why did your fuse blow up?

I gave up on Honda after they sadistically asked me to give them my number and wait 15 days - so that they can tell me when I can get the Spares!!! Instad, I bought spare ones from a Toyota dealer, those units were meant for the Innova and they fit the CBR perfectly. According to the dealer, the same format of 10A fuse is used in many premium cars. Fuses blew up due to a short while monkeying around with my pilot LEDs

Got myself a Used, Dec 2011 CBR 250 STD. ODO= 15K Paid the owner Rs 103000. For paperworks - 1000. The racer set, chain sprocket and front disk pad needs to be changed and some minor stuffs. Hope that wont cost more than Rs 6K. Important Question-Can I opt for the P220 Disk pads? PS: People here have stopped helping each other, as the senior members are not active most of the times. My queries are going unanswered.

Chain Sproket 500, Chain 1200, labour extra. Disk pads will cost you 600 but not sure mine is ABS and it costs 1900. By the way, what is racer set?

P220 disk pads are compatible with rear pads of non abs version only, for front you will need to go with the Honda make only. When You bought it for more than 100k what is the point of saving 400 in pads which you will need only once in 10k kms.chain Sprocket set will be around 2500/-.

Only 600 for the front disk!!! I think it would cost more than 1000. Racer set is the cone set. Bike it swaying to sides at low speeds.

Yup. You are right. Should spend on genuine parts. But as I have already spent that much, I am on miser mode . More over I am not selling my RTR, as it would be my daily commute(And really cheap on maintenance as well, hence more savings).
Such good times those were, when I use to spend My Dad's money without a second thought. I miss it now .
                            Any ways, thanks guys....
Rode the bike for 60 kms at a stretch. Felt damn comfortable. But real pain in cities. No match for my RTR here . Need to adjust to the tall gearing now.
                            Thats it. Pics coming soon.

I'm really getting frustrated with how rough my CBR's engine is, it doesn't seem to be a low oil level as it is close to full and just around 300 km since I got it changed at the first service (1000 km in total).

Is there anyone from Whitefield/HSR in Bangalore around here? I was thinking I can meet up and you can take a look to see if this is normal or something that I need to go and complain to the dealer about.
