Had to pay a dd for 800 bucks including transportation charges since the tyre had run around 5 over 5k kms. The replaced Conti has no issues. Dry weather grip is as good as ever!

Photos have been taken, things have been informed, now waiting for a response. Meanwhile the wear is getting worse. The bike will be grounded until i get the replacement tyre.

Now ODO reading is 6k. Let's see how it goes about the charges and all.

Today's day started with an agonizing note - I was negotiating one of the bylanes near my house, and halted at traffic hold-up. Just then, this black Swift sneaks up from behind on my left, comes real close and stops - on my left foot! My toes were getting crushed under the weight of the car and I desperately waved my hands and hammered his bonnet gesturing him to reverse his car but that moron sitting inside understood none of it, and after a full minute, he gave some throttle and rolled his car forward and got off my shoes, crushing my foot even more.

My feet were free but I could no longer hold the weight of the bike and had a spill from standstill. The worst part - the moron sitting inside the car didn't even bother to stop. Felt like smashing his windscreen with my helmet....aaargh...

Front brake lever has now acquired the shape of a "C" and front mirror seems to have lost a bearing - it's now rattling inside the housing and no longer retains it's position.

Some days are just not fair

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

sorry to hear that buddy what happened...

however for your relief lemme help you fix stuff for free

first of all . place a wood stock in between and press the lever again from outer edge and it will come back to its original shape. make sure the straightened lever runs parallel to grip when engaged completely ...

second for the mirror.. remvoe the round rubber at the mount. you will find allen bolt inside. use no-6 allen key. same that came in toolkit and tighten it

Hey even I am doing my service, new chain sprocket, tballs and cone set, back disk and disc pads. The service guy told the price would be around 10k, can you tell me where can I get Motul 20W fork oil Is it available in the Honda service center itself ?. Will this make a significant change in handling.

          Thx !!

Hello james, just wanted to know what's your bike odometer reading since you are replacing your bike's rear disc ,is there any visible damage to it or was it suggested by ASC.

              Hi
I raised this query a few days ago but couldn't get many replies...senior members pls help....I'm getting a rattling sound once my bike reaches 5.5k rpm mark. It is present in all gears, although the sound subsides in fifth and sixth gears....No loose parts or fairings as I have got everything checked.....after spending some time on internet I found an entire section on cbr250.net dedicated to it......Engine Rattle!!! SIGN UP - Honda CBR250R Forum : Honda CBR 250 Forums.

The sound is too annoying and spoils the fun of riding.....can anybody help

bike odometer reading is around 14k and yes the rear disc damage can be felt by touching, the disc and it is not smooth,

                  Some questions for you bro.
                  1. How much did the chainset cost you??? Is it stock or aftermarket?? Are replacing only the chain or the sprockets as well???

                  2. How are IRC + Dunlop combo performing in dry as well as wet??

                  3. Where did you source the steel braided lines from and the petal discs and how much did both( the brakes and discs) cost individually??

I am planning to carry on the same mods on my babe. So your suggestion would be valuable.

Also if you can give your input on the difference in braking after installing brake lines and discs, it would really be great.

Today got a call from my dealers. Saying that the mail from Continental came that my tyre damage is not caused due to manufacturing defect, the service center guys are supporting me, as a single look on the tyre clearly shows it is a manufacturing defect. I informed them that i will be directly registering a complaint, when they said to give them one more chance in trying to convince the tyre guys.

Let's see how things roll out.

well, may be Conti's are getting many emails. Though I have no issues so far, I do see hairline wear marks and is OK with that. I am not satisfied with the grip levels on uneven and wet roads. When you maintain a proper pressure, I don't see why the tyre would wear so badly as in your case. If this is not a defect then what would be?. Consider shooting mail to Honda also.
Edit - Sometimes in forest land, shouting loud and raising issue everywhere might be in order. Doing things in proper channel may be considered as a weakness.

Yeah man , looks like this will have to be dealt with at a higher level.

Yeah, the showroom people are supporting me, they on inspecting also knew it was a manufacturing defect.
It's not that making noise is not an option. But first I would try going by proper channel , if they are not agreeing , then i will be looking into another methods.

I don't understand why Honda is still giving Contis with new CBRs where the 150R model comes with MRF. Buying a bike worth 2L shouldn't have this kind of tyres. Is it something like they are keeping the price in budget for a 250cc with compromising tyres ?
