No. I have called them and registered the complaint.
You can call them in 0124- 2290911 and ask them to transfer the call to customer care department. But keep your bike's details handy.

Just try inserting the key in the fuel tank lid and gently shake it. Look out for any loose ness or uneven spots.

Guys!!! Guys!!! Stop taking pics of petrol tank with tank cap open. The fumes can ignite with a minute spark and burst.. With cellphone, risk factor is doubled due to microwaves. Thats why it is adviced not to use cellphone while filling fuel in bunk..

They din have the mrf as stock, they weren't actually aware of that development, so they were saying that they are getting only the bikes with contigo tyres only.

Check for any rubbing marks over your fuel cap inside portion.. if there is any clearance & u hear sounds its because of vibvration & surely you can find rubbing marks.. also the drain pipe in fuel tank (the one on LH side when lid is open) seems little extruded..

Just an update on the above. The local ASC manager called me and asked me to drop the bike for inspection by Metro dealer. It will take 3-4 days but most probably a positive solution.

BTW registering a complaint directly to Honda makes these people to run behind the customers and provide the solution. I am sure if I have went to ASC personally, they will simply try to blunt the issue by mentioning that it is common on all tyres and nothing can be done to it. They would have not even bothered to take it to their tyre vendor. KUDOS to Honda on their after sales service.

                          Great news isn't it.

Please do share the root cause what Honda feels is the reason for tyre damage.

What is the course of action they agreed upon? Replace only with Contigos or other better brands? Do you have a choice in this?

Good, I also found that directly contacting Honda is the way out for issues. They may believe in customers. ASC is not the place for any complaints.
BTW, keep us posted. I too have these hairline cracks developed within 3 weeks. I would like a change but only if it is a non Conti. After seeing
three riders having this issue, I am not sure a new Conti would solve this. Further, a new Conti would set me back by 1000km again as initial 500km to 1000kms or bit more is needed for this hard tire to break-in.

Sure. I asked for MRF replacement, but they will replace it only with the same brand. But if it goes bad again we have a choice to raise the voice again.

That's true, but I believe the new lot of contis have been a tad better than the older lots. So hoping for the best. But you can ask for the replacement, and if it goes wrong, you can demand what you want as a customer. That's what I am planning about now.
