Going for the 2013 tri color scheme..!! Loved that the most, apart from repsol, but that comes only with abs , and i am not a fan of abs.

SO, thanks to the friend who helped me with the prices, forgot his user name, so not able to tag,
almost all procedure over, now delivery on wednesday.

Here is a pic of the bike from the dealers place.

In Jan 2013 ,I was at a reputed Tyre dealership in Pune where met a Micheline Co. rep, that time he confirmed that Micheline is in process of introducing tyres for CBR250r & Pulsar 220 in May 2013,don`t know what went wrong.

Keep 29 psi front & 29 psi rear, normally tyre wallas keep 30/35 so the tyre is skittish.

Some days back some of our forum bro has bought a preowned CBR minus a owner`s manual ,this link to a Australian one should solve his problem. If anyone remembers him please tag him.

Today we, more than 100 CBR owners in Kolkata have ridden a amazing rally totally organized by HMSI from Kolkata to Burdwan. The total package was good and Honda team was very nice.

This is the 1st Honda rally in India I suppose and its very responsive.

Guys, can anyone confirm whether the 2013 cbr250 being sold in India actually produces 26bhp (19.5kw)? Is it possible that it is the case where the same brochure from other countries is being circulated in India thats why the bump in figures from 25bhp (18.64kw).
Can someone confirm whether it runs a different mapping as there are no mechanical changes imho.

The Honda India website says it's 26bhp, so i guess we can be sure that something is different in the mapping for the 2013 models..

After your question I was going through the specifications of the 2011 and 2013 model. It showed 2011 model as 249.4 CC and 2013 model as 249.6 CC. So there must be some changes. I am not sure of the authenticity of the website where I read it. If anyone else can shed more light with official figures then we can come to a conclusion.

WHy all this doubt over power figures? Most of us had already been told prior launch that Honda was working on a retuned ECU.

The honda india website shows that it is 25bhp if you check the specifications but if you download the brochure it shows 26bhp. Anyway, on the website even the pictures haven't been changed, they are of the 2012 model. So, I doubt the specs have been updated to 2013 cbr.
Keeping my fingers crossed that whatever the brochure says is applicable for the indian model, if anyone can shed some more light on this.

My bike looks to be due for a shim replacement as well and not sure if the bike is to be left overnight, or is it enough to bring in the bike to ASC in the morning and get this done by aound 3 or 4 PM...
Dude if the engine is cool it just takes 2 hours max. to calculate & replace the shims "Provided they have shims (standard) for the clearance that your bike has" Else They need to order the shims from factory & it may take 2 to 3 days max.

Depends on your luck. But if you give your bike in evening, surely it will be done only on the next day..

I own a mar 13 std. 2 days back I rode a apr 12 abs version which was ridden to 7k on odo. I can feel a difference in the way the bike picks up speeds in the intials. Mine feels a tad quicker compared to that.

Well, that is good news but still not 100% confirmation. The 2012 bike might have taken some toll in clocking those 7k kms.
If you can compare the top end. Yours should be able to hit 160 much easily when compared to the other bike.
If this is actually true I might still get a cbr, although I have booked the duke 390.

7k on the odo over one+ year shows that the guy is not a thrasher. Telling this because I know this guy very well and he adheres to periodic services and a gentle rider. The time I took the drive was right after we finished the service while mine is 600kms due to service. So I believe honda has played a little game on this.

BTW congrats on Duke. Took a test ride but somehow miss the bike's meat to performance ratio. If it was a bit bulkier my booking to it will also be along with yours. But simply fell in love with its performance. Just the rear lacked a little confidence.
