Took me a couple of hours because it was the first time i did it. But now that i know how to do it, it should take half an hour.

You need to buy a pair. I think they should start selling a single bulb also.

Apart from the first service tasks i made them add chain slackness problem(it was too tight) , tank cap vibration and radiator fan working as extra tasks.

All the necessary things were done, with the radiator fan problem being the last, once they started working on it all the senior mechs started hovering over my bike
then one by one each part started being removed off, the left side fairing , right side fairing , the tank, ecu and stuff like that.

First the assumption was that the fuse was blown, which turned out to be fine,
then they checked the fan working by connecting to another power source, the fan worked fine, the troubleshooted the ecu, ecu was fine but fan not working, plonked another ecu same result.

SO finally after 2-3 hours of head scratching it was diagonized that somewhere along the electrical wiring there was a problem, the current for running the fan is not reaching the fan. All the sensors seem to be fine too.

So as of now, the bike is at the svc, after first service, waiting for them to strip the bike fully and check each and every electrical junction and replace the faulty part . Which will take some time. Now the estimated day for getting my bike back is monday evening or tuesday.

Once i get the bike, I am going to find this guy who did the PDI and give him a peice of my mind, or send a mail to honda about this. How did he clear the bike of PDI if the radiator fan is not working, note that i had complained to them about the fan not kicking in the second day of purchase itself.
@icemang , i so wanted what you said to be true, but seems 'not the case here.

                            Cheers

So guys, I had reported i had this problem of fan not working, so we found out the problem. The issue was that ,the socket of the fan sensor that is for drawing current form the battery directly was loose and not conducting. And this particular socket was at the least accessible spot under the air filter box , so they had to strip all the bike plastic panel parts to get to there, hence the delay. Now the fan is working fine. Took her for some city riding, the gauge was at 3 bars, then i stopped at a place and switched on the engine kill switch and ignition on and after 5 seconds the fan started roatating. So that problem is over.

Also i got to learn that the cooling system(fan) of the cbr has a direct connection for power source form the battery. and that particular socket is independent of the rest of the wiring of the bike. The service technitian was kind enough to show me that in the wiring diagram and also explained it to me in detail. I really liked the service from there. And they have 3 senior mechanics for the cbr.

The showroom is John's honda, Trichur. Kerala members can make use of their superior service.

                            Cheers

Is it possible to obtain the wiring diagrams? Will be useful for DIYS.
