Good. Strange, Please see pictures for non Repsol here - in CBR 250R
So, as per pictures, this is what I make out
Black - Front and Rear - IRC
Pearl white - Front and Rear - Zapper FY and Zapper S
Red - Front and Rear - IRC
Repsol - Zapper FY and Zapper S
Looks like Contis' are retired!. Though they may have some inventory still.

My Conti is OK (MFD- 34th week 2012), but it is full of moments!, but may be better than first version. Leaning on dry road is OK. But I don't see it as grippy. Further, the rear contact patch of Conti looks broader- making it a boat!.

Am ok bro. While doing corners one of my friend crashed on his R15 V2 and on seeing that i forgot to put the stand on my bike and tried to get down from the bike( road was steep slope ) and later realized i haven't put side stand as i couldn't able to take the complete weight of the bike on me put it slowly on ground and got down from bike and lifted it up meanwhile my clutch lever touched the ground and took a small bend due to the weight of the bike.

I intend to test my Contigos/MRFs (depends on what I land up with) on this mother-of-hair pin bends route.

Nice choice for the color. Co-incidentally, this was the choice I made today too! After a long time deciding between Red and White. Unfortunately it will be some weeks before I can book this baby.

I travelled down to Chennai from Bangalore, to visit a local showroom again this time with parents. Also had a short test ride that left me grinning with enthusiasm like a madman.

Some snaps of the 2013 colours from the showroom -

Random 2013 models seem to have MRFs. I haven't tried pushing them too hard to give me an option to choose MRF but I think they will oblige.

The one on the left is MRF Zapper S, right is Contigo.

Guys i need your help for saving my exhaust from getting rusted !!

While getting my bike washed from a local washing station that guy used a blade to remove the mud deposited on the exhaust and on seeing that i ran to him and asked him to stop doing it but by that time this damage has occurred . So you suggestions are really appreciated

Honda India must be using pics from their international catalouge to have IRC,when I last checked rear IRC here in Pune, one with bill & warranty was 8500/- @ probiking showroom,N300 has it oe fitment, though old stock is available @ 3500/- in Ahamdabad.

Spray generous amount of WD40 to remove rust and get Aerosol or Bosni matte black to spray over it.

• CBR250R 2013 long waiting period..

Hello fellow members, Happy Independence day!

After a long research i've booked a CBR250R(as it fits my requirements) on 13-july-2013 in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu.
I've asked for the STD black version(2013) & the dealer still says(14-Aug-2013) that the bike is yet to be allotted for me(from honda factory ).
On calling today, i got the answer that in the next the 10 days or so the bike MAY get allotted & it'll take 10 more days to reach the dealer.
On receiving the same reply from the dealer for the past one month, I decided to check the availability in Chennai so called upon a couple of Honda dealers(KUN, JSP) & came to know that they have ready stock of CBR250R 2013 all black.

I've tried the Contact us section on honda2wheelersindia.com, but it doesn't seen to be working..

So is there anyway i can reach HMSI to convey the situation?

They said the whole meter would be replaced.. (Hopefullyy!!)

The ASC guys here are afraid even to open it and check for loose connections.. i wonder how they are going to replace the part....

So guys, went for first service today.
Apart from the first service tasks i made them add chain slackness problem(it was too tight) , tank cap vibration and radiator fan working as extra tasks.

All the necessary things were done, with the radiator fan problem being the last, once they started working on it all the senior mechs started hovering over my bike
then one by one each part started being removed off, the left side fairing , right side fairing , the tank, ecu and stuff like that.

First the assumption was that the fuse was blown, which turned out to be fine,
then they checked the fan working by connecting to another power source, the fan worked fine, the troubleshooted the ecu, ecu was fine but fan not working, plonked another ecu same result.

SO finally after 2-3 hours of head scratching it was diagonized that somewhere along the electrical wiring there was a problem, the current for running the fan is not reaching the fan. All the sensors seem to be fine too.

So as of now, the bike is at the svc, after first service, waiting for them to strip the bike fully and check each and every electrical junction and replace the faulty part . Which will take some time. Now the estimated day for getting my bike back is monday evening or tuesday.

Once i get the bike, I am going to find this guy who did the PDI and give him a peice of my mind, or send a mail to honda about this. How did he clear the bike of PDI if the radiator fan is not working, note that i had complained to them about the fan not kicking in the second day of purchase itself.
icemang , i so wanted what you said to be true, but seems 'not the case here.

Cheers
