mine started giving issues at 10k itself though still running with it as cudn't manage to visit the showroom .. on 16k now...

new chainset is 1700 and 400 labour cost...

so will be 2100-2200 odd for chainset...

if you have any pending work left then get that done as well.. as a cumulative charge for other works too thy will put labour cost max 500...

not sure bout the alternate chainset but someone posted that 220 chain should be a direct fit. the pitch size is same.

For STD a single line comes with MRP Rs. 2,650. Consequently, a pair would be Rs. 5,300. For ABS i think you need to buy a set of 4 cables which would cost Rs. 10,600 (Not really sure on the ABS kit and pricing).

                      Is braking difference evident?

My personal opinion and observation is that the front brakes are much more confidence inspiring now when riding solo. When riding with a pillion however, I dont notice any difference.

What are the comfort mods for CBR250r to make it touring-worthy

basically, i need to make touring more comfortable. I recently did a 1250km/3days ride and wasnt impressed
                            with the ergos (wrt ZMA-R).

                            handlebar modifications
                            - bar risers?
                            - swapping with a ZMR?
                            - single piece ZMA-R handlebar, will also need triple clamp?

seat mods (both front and pillion)
                            - insert gel pads beneath the existing seat cover
                            - swap out existing foam with better and denser foam
                            - completely new seat uppers including foam (based on existing seat base)
Final one: buy a ZMA-R or new Hero250!
                            All ideas welcome.
