Re: Buying CBR 250R in a couple days...pls suggest what all I need to check
Jog through the links in my signature, I think you'll find formula for deciphering manufacturing date and a text file for PDI. Go for MRF tyres only; don't accept Conti's under any condition. you might have to wait for them. Go for 2013 colors listed on website. 2013 models are rumored to have undergone some very welcome changes like dual horns, better tires, quality control of plastic panels, ECU remapping, etc. And maybe you can confirm these rumors once you get the delivery!Originally posted by RockyM View Post

Point noted ...i have started planning to source frame sliders the minute i read your message. Hope the fall is nothing major and i feel we ought to assume that our roads are never ever safe and hence we MUST protect ourselves and our rides accordingly. Anyway, ride safe, rockingrider !
Hence, my question - Anyone in Chennai has recently sourced reasonably priced cbr-fit frame sliders, kindly share the contact details here so it will useful for the rest of us.
Cheers,
Raj

Honestly mate, where do you find roads fit for this ? Even if the road is silky smooth, it is infested with lane cutters, jay walkers and the stray animals, blind corners and what not.
The actual thought of taking a corner at tad higher speed is scaring here in my place, even with a clean smooth roads, there are just too many nasty surprises.
Saving some money and hitting the track seems more sensible and practical.
Cheers

Re: Honda CBR 250R
It's just another method used by the showrooms to increase sales. You can take extended warranty anytime before your original warranty expires. So, chill bro...go to your showroom and talk to them about extended warranty if you are interested.:thumbup:Originally posted by Avenger88 View PostGuys...

Re: Buying CBR 250R in a couple days...pls suggest what all I need to check
Tell the chief mechanic to especially check the electricals, wiring and spark plug before delivery. Have fun with your ceeber mate.Originally posted by RockyM View PostHi guys,
After much thought and test driving a few bikes and opinions from this forum, I have finally decided to buy CBR 250R this Sunday (Sep 8, 2013) - (on top of the world feeling)....Please let me know what all I should check in a new bike before buying....I mean how to know if it has the latest manufacturing date, can I ask for a different set of tires (and if yes, which one) and other things I need to know/check.
I have spoken to about four dealers about cash discount...but don't want to get an older bike or cheaper tires in exchange of an extra 1000/- discount, so asking for help !!
Thanks in advance

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Fun fact, in my new experience of hitting the corners, I do not look at the console, just by the momentum and "feel" of the bike I hit them.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostHonestly mate, where do you find roads fit for this ? Lol..looking at the console while cornering or even riding, can be a bit too overwhelming at times..!! :-P At least you won't need to see how or whom you crashed into...:-D

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yes , a slip on will void the warranty of the bike , as you have to cut the exiting exhaust to make way for the slip-on.Originally posted by Manan View PostHello,
Fitting of an after market exhaust results in voiding of warranty correct?
Exhaust as in the slip on, not the full system.
thanks
Manan.

I don't know about contigo, not ridden it but MRFs are simply brilliant, just 400 km done and handling like a pro already.
