  • Why run around when you can get your spares delivered at your door step? I had least hopes in honda to send spares so I ordered them from UK and they costed me around 200-300 more than the company price (assuming ABS pads from company would cost around 1500 or so) including shipping. Unlike the G rated company brake pads, These are HH rated with a semi metalic compound and the brakes now are sharper than before. And BTW, They look GREEN!! :P

EDIT : I din't have to wait for ages for them to be delivered at my door step. It hardly took a weeks time to come over from UK clearing customs.

Just if something could be done to reduce the price of spares or atleast get the quality of spares checked could had been better by Honda. I do not want to spend on replacing a Rs.700 brakepad every six months and 5k kms.
Thank god that you don't own a Karizma or Ninja. Brake pads for both bikes cost 1200 bucks.

Brake pad change does not come under free service.

      • @himalayan rider: yes it was a free service. I think the labour charges were for cone set replacement job which does not come under service.. Just my guess.

Its not about paying 700 or 1200 vishwas sir. Its about getting what you pay for. Replacing a brakepad after 4500kms of riding that too more than 90% on the highways, and all my precautions to use it sanely. (And its known that the same brakepad from bybre for p220 is available for Rs.190 and i dont think it has so less life). For all my other bikes, disc brakepads have never needed a replacement atleast for 12k kms. And all of them serviced in their respective ASCs timely. Maybe i got a lemon. But Honda should had taken care of it.
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

                • @ rahul and siddhart: can we get back to CBR please. Why drag karizmas here. Whatever be the price charged by ASC's, is it justified? One of my friend owning a yamaha r1 once said that KBC kevlar disc brakepads costed Rs.1200 for the R1. Just that he needed to replace 3 sets. (just an info). My point was durability for the price and not a price war. Anybody else changed the brakepads for cbr? How many kms did they clock before replacement? And if anybody replaced it with the p220's rear brakepads (i guess sudeep did it), how is the performance? Equal, better or lower than before?,

Sudeep told me there is no difference that he could feel with the quality of brakepads.

i have asked about those 220 rear disk pads and he told me that there is no diffrence in original one and 220's rear disk pads.

now let us wait for some time so we can get any update from sudeep bro that how much km 220 disk pads will work in cbr.

                        in 220 they last long till 12 k ..

Yes, I've replaced my rear disk pads with P220's disk-pads. I changed it at around 5.5k and now my odo is at around 7.5k.

Yes, there has been no noticeable change in braking or performance. It just feels like the stock ones.

One for battery - If chemical inside battery overflows, it is drained out from this pipe rather than it burning plastic around battery.
Another pipe is for carburetors. If somebody leaves fuel knob to ON for long time, it might happen that petrol gets accumulated in carburetor. This chokes it up and results in bike refusing to start in single crank/kick. The other pipe helps to drain out this extra fuel out of carburetor.

Correct me if I am wrong here.
Dude its a maintenance free battery which doesn't need to be topped up with distilled water and there is no carburetter its fuel injection
