          • Vibration in the Speedo meter console

Folks, I am get a brrrrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrrrr sound from the Speedo/Tacho meter console when I start my bike and raise the throttle. Not sure why. When I press my finger on the tacho, the sound dis-appers. Is anyone facing the same issue??

They do diesel wash on CBR's?
As a result my silencer cover's paint has been peeled off! - Which they apologized for and promised to repaint that thing during next service for free
Bike doesnt pull past 6.5k rpm at 4th gear+
As a result the max i can push is 110kmph for now.
Is that a problem? Or am i being hasty in pushing her for more just when she has clocked a 1200k?

P.S offtopic maybe: Caught up with another ceeber(black rims + stickered "fireblade" on the side) outside bharath mall yesterday and rode around with it for a while till we got a diversion. Anyone from here?

that u have to check your self just push it and it wont take even a secont to touch 6 k rpm in 4th gear.

i have redlined my cbr in each gear 1st to 5th. and 9-10 k rpm in 6th.

                  • Three things for today

I got my first service done on my bike. The bike is better now with the new engine oil. Need to see how things make after some pushing.

                    1. How do you people manage 91 or more RON when going on longer trips? I am not sure if the petrol banks in towns and villages sell these? Is it possible to plan these? I have done 230km on full tank before i refilled.

                    2. I got a call from the dealer yesterday telling an event is organized by Honda for C250R owners at VGP (Chennai) on Nov 19th. I am not sure what this event is. Invitation is not a must for this event. Not sure if this is a kind of service camp or some marketing meet for the bike . FYI

                    3. The cost of R15 paddock stand is INR 1.5K as against the 3.5K for C250R. Any body tried the R15 paddock stand for C250R? Is there universal size for paddock stands?

get your bike checked as all of us are able to hit the rev limiter in all gears except 6th.
The reading on Odo meter should not be an issue.
As on third day of delivery and just hundred Kms on Odo, i was able to cross 147KMPH. If you dont have a great top end whats the point of paying 2L, we all could have settled with pulsars.

At times chain tension can also lead to such problems.

                      Regards

                        1. I will be going to make the payment for my bike this week. The person at the showroom, City honda, Bangalore, has promised to show me two or three different bikes (red standard) which I can choose from before they send it for registration. Can you please let me know where the bikes chassis number is? Just so that I am sure, they sent the correct bike that I selected. I will also, be printing out the PDI from this forum.

                        2. Secondly, do any of you use those sliders/bobs on the side frames in order to have some protection (for the bike) incase it falls? Does anyone know where we could get those in Bangalore. I am a little concerned since the bike only has a side stand.

                        Thanks,
                        Sun

                        Hi,

The engine and chassis numbers can be found on a printed paper that you would find under the rear seat.
As you'll be able to see the rear seat pop opens and there is a small storage area for tools, first aid kit etc. And here you can see a honda printed paper with barcode that has the details you are looking for.

As far as frame sliders are concerned very few people are using them.
You can check Performace Racing Store for frame sliders.
But you dont need them urgently so you have time to read and then decide for yourself.

                        Regards

                        • Guys, just noticed the bill for third free service; it says...

Rs 325 for labour for changing front, rear disc pads, replacing slider chain & changing final sprocket chain. Over the above it also says, Rs 0 against Free Service. Doesn't all these come under free service?

AFAIK they dont. what is free will be listed in the manual or behind the free service coupon. Mostly regular stuff.. any extra work done is charged for. Could be wrong though.
