Had a nice ride to Chennai and back. 1350 kms. My rear Contigo wore out so bad the fabric was showing. Replaced it today with another Conti. I was afraid the chain might get loose but, no, it is still sitting smug at 1.2 inches of slack at 38,000 kms.

Sorry for no pics, the only picture I have is of a man run over by truck.

Reminder to old and new riders : get your PUC certificate, Cops will fine your brand new bike for not having PUC aka pollution under control.

@leech bro what is the necessity to get this certificate.. I mean new bikes will already be tested for the pollution control right...

New bikes have an emission guarantee for one year. It's a guarantee given by the company, which states that the vehicle adheres to the Pollution norms.

Now how do we find out if the vehicle is actually polluting or not? How do we enforce the guarantee the company gives? By checking the actual amount of pollution the bike emits in real life. Here the PUC comes in.

Many a cop left me, disappointed, when I showed them the PUC. Till date I have never paid a single rupee to a cop.

The smart asses in Nilambur have got Innova interceptors fitted with speed gun. Watch out guys.

3M cochin doesn't have a division for 2 wheeler care, even they said they are not doing ppf for 2 wheeler s. Any one here can guide me for any other option in kerala for protecting paint of my cbr.

I don't think you need to get a pollution check done for a new vehicle. A new vehicle will need a puc check only after 6 months (or 1 yr am not exactly sure).
You will usually receive a 'non-polluting vehicle' sticker (green one) with a new vehicle and especially on cars, it is sometimes stuck to the windshield with a date scribbled on it.
So yeh, be safe and get a puc check done after 6 months if its a new vehicle and every 6 months thereafter for two wheeler's. So make yerselves familiar with the law/rules and don't hesitate to politely convey this to the cops.. if not with all docs in place, who knows you might be fined for skipping breakfast

Did you changed your stock ContiGo now? i.e. after 38K? I'm feeling my ContiGo loosing pressures quite fast now, though I will confirm this tonight by re-filling air. Bike has 19K on ODO.

This is my third Contigo. First lasted 23k kms, second one lasted 15k kms due to my carelessness of not checking the air pressure for 4 months. So the poor tyre had to go through bad roads and rear wheel lockups on 16 psi which wore it down to the fabric, developed bumps and caused the bike to wobble on slight corners. However this tyre didn't burst even at constant 100-140 kmph speeds for 7 hours, something I am very grateful to Contigo for.

The other option was to go for Michelin pilot sporty, but it didn't have that good reviews on the net, however the interesting fact was the Contigo had Max load capacity at 38 psi, while the MPS had it at 33 psi.

Returned from trip last night at 1am. 1100kms of pure awesomeness , nature, snow capped mountains amidst nature and bone chilling weather.
Bike performed extremely well, handled off-roads with ease. yes front contigo sucks when it comes to slush riding. I was actually skeptical when I was coming down hill on an off road track with slush on the way.

Also did continuous riding at 85-95 whole night while returning, not a single sign of pressure on bike.
Also witness tyre burst of a truck in front of me, shattered tyre and rim parts coming out and almost hitting my boots.

Also the bike started in single push early in the morning when it was 1-2degree celsius.

Have almost 30gb of video and pics to edit. Will come back and share those

Till now enjoy these.

prateek sir, you are trying to stress the engine at 95 kmph? I was riding at 120-140 constantly in 6th gear for 5-6 hours, and still this bike didn't overheat or change sound. I think unless you keep redlining, this CBR 250 can keep going without a worry.
