Ok kind of a noob question, I'm planning to change to Michelin pilot street radials front and back for the bike, wanted to know how to season the new tyres properly?

Nothing much. Make sure the tires are fitted properly, in the right direction, seated correctly. A tire's true potential can be extracted after the tire has done some 500 KMS which is when the surface chemicals wear off and the fleshy part of the tire starts to grip. Drive as you normally would, maintain correct air pressure. Pretty much it's the same.

      Cheers!

      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        Hey guys,

Would like to know what could cause the stones in tin can like noise on the Cbr. I drove one of my friend's bike and it was having this kind of noise around 4-5k rpm. He said that it was present from the time he bought the bike and he also tried different Svcs and he got the same reply that this is normal. Is it?

Sir, thats engine knocking/detonation and yes it happens in old gen CBR250R, dont know if this happens in new gen 250Rs or not. The main reason of engine knocking is poor fuel quality, carbon deposit and bad spark plug. As we all know that the compression ration of a 250R is higher than a normal commuting motorcycles so it requires a good quality fuel though i.e better RON rating petrol. Always get fuel from a reputated and trustworthy petrol pump.

Even i witnessed the same in my 2011 model too. After getting shims, spark-plug, cam chain and tensioner replacement the knocking was still there(shims were replaced because of unwanted noise like sewing machine). After that I installed secondard earthing wire and the knocking just vanished. I dont know much about the technicality of using secondary earthing mod but because of its simple procedure i did and results were visible though. My 2011 ride sounds smooth, feels smooth, power delivery became linear, acceleration is still the same, NO stalling, no unwanted noise and still gives a good fuel economy though. To be precise i get my m/c serviced on sharp 3000 kms, not even 1 km late and religiously follows the service manual.

I had the worst experience with my 180abs. I owned it for about 4 years. I loved the bike with every fibre of my being. It only hated me with every fibre of its being. Well. TVS service is the absolute worst. At least here in Bangalore. They're either incompetent, lazy or over worked. The condition of my bike when I sold it off last year... ☹️ I hate TVS because of the service.

On a happier note: I made the payment for my bike and gave the documents today. I asked them to let me take my bike on a run to check her out and see if I have any complaints. And I clicked some pics when I went off with her. 🙂 I won't be seeing her again till Wednesday. I can't wait! [emoji7]

Why the delay till Wednesday? Did you able to pay the amount and documents today being it is 2nd Saturday? In Kerala it is holiday for them.

The showroom sales division here in Bangalore is open on saturday as well as Sunday. However since RTO is closed, I can't get it registered today. Also, on Monday they will send the bike for PDI(I found that the ABS was not connected and also had a few things I wanted them to check out) so after the bike returns on Tuesday, they'll get it registered. I am against collecting it in the evening so I will go Wednesday morning and get my sweet baby CBR. [emoji7]

Anyone here using After Market exhaust from a known brand?

Saw some Blackwidow exhaust on eBay and the seller is ready to ship it to India..
Comes around total 14~15k and 2k more full system.
which is a steal deal for a genuine exhaust..

Just want to get inputs of Pros and cons on getting a exhaust..

I usually drive at 60~70kmph max in city..

Well, I'm using an Akra replica. I saw a Leo Vince slip-on on a website for 8-9K.
Changes? Well, my bike's lower end has improved. Mid range is the same or negligible change is there. Top end has reduced considerably.
But I being a commuter, don't need the top end. My avg speeds are ~70kph. Occasionally when I do speed runs, the top end of the bike doesn't disappoint tho. I won't recommend opting for a full system just yet. I guess your bike's due for 1st service. If I'm correct, I'll sugest you to change ur exhaust after 2000 kms.
                          :D

i will be going for Slip-on only..
Just doing some homework on the exhaust before making the Purchase..
I will be getting it once all 3 free service is done.. till then will stick to stock..
