    Hi guys!
My bike's front disk pads are due for a change.. it is non-ABS variant with BYBRE units. Are the front pads from P220 a direct fit?? I had read about this in this thread earlier but I needed to recomfirm once as i was planning to change them today. Can anyone confirm this??

P220 does not have that kinda bite you are expecting..
Try 200NS front pads.. they have good bite and feedback..

Thanks buddy! Are they a direct fit for cbr?? I didn't know 200ns pads are compatible 🤔

Afaik, the front brake pads of pulsar 200,220 or rs200 do not match the CBR 250.

However, a CBR owner has changed his front brake pads to those of Aviator. They cost ₹200 less with the same bite.

The mirrors are a nuisance, if u ask me. I folded them while doing a speed run. When I tried to push it back to ita original place, it became loose on its main bolt and rotated all the way forward (-.-)
I've removed the mirrors for now and am searching for a better alternative. Preferrably in the form of bar end mirrors. Ya know? Short and look cool!

bar end mirrors wont serve the purpose on CBR..

You sit kinda upright and front.. so u hardly able to look at your hand bars..

Bikes like RC will suit it..

You can try ZMR mirror, i heard its direct fit.. i might change to it after 1st service.

I've tried a pair of bar end mirrors previously, although they were a fail. But visibility, for me, isn't a problem. My problem was that they were loose from the point they were attached to the handle and thus rotated around like crazy. And the ZMR Mirrors are a direct fit (read on a user review on **********) but the main problem is its availability....

                      The story about me:
So I have started riding at the age of 17 and my first ride is yeah of course TVS Scooty. which I used for going to Maths Institute.

Then I bought an KTM RC 200 on Feb 8 2016.
One month later I had a sever pain on RHS shoulder.
Diagnosed with sever stress on clavicle. So I used the bike only to commute to office.

So during October 2016 I had to sell the bike because of financial problem and I sold my bike to a guy in OLX for 1.5L.

We recovered from financial position gradually and I started thinking about new bike again .

That was when I became active in xBHP and started following some threads. You guys helped me a lot in choosing bikes.
Finally the pics are out. Cool man. You did it.
BTW she looks really beautiful. Are you not planning to remove the sareeguard?

                      Thanks

I think I have already explained once why I don't want to play with vital parts of a motor. I have no issue if someone is using FZ oil filter. My own logic doesn't allow me fiddling in such areas. What I did I took an FZ filter which was sparingly used and a new CBR250 oil filter. Took a bowl of fresh 10w40 motor oil and dipped each filter one by one keeping the orifice up and counted on how long it takes to fill the filter with oil. CBR filter took no time to fill up while fz filter took more time as expected. CBR one is a high flow one and have better permeability than the fz one. I think a long series of engineering and experiment would have involved deciding the filter in lieu to feed oil to vital parts. Even if result would be negligible, I would not use any other filter which is made for a 150 cc motor. That's my personal opinion and it may differ from others.
Arvind has a point. I don't see any reason saving on a filter is going to impact much in the long run, and especially lubrication is concerned. Lubrication is one of the important aspects of engineering that an engineer takes in into consideration when designing an engine, the permeability of the filter, the flow rate, the pump pressure all comes into play and a wrong filter or improperly fit filter means we have an oil starved engine that can goes KABOOM.

To the general shv clearly pointed "discretion advised" throughout this posts, though he had done excellent homework on what he was doing, it may not be suitable to everyone's taste. Some prefer stock for pure peace of mind, some try to save costs. What I would suggest is stack the FZ BYSON filter in case of one is not able to source the OEM filter, in case of emergency and use it as a stop-gap measure.

Check this thread, a member has used the Honda Aviator's Nissin caliper pads and they are a direct fit as mentioned by the user. This is for non-ABS version of the CBR. For the rear one can use the Pulsar 220 brake pads, which are a direct fit.

                        Cheers!

                        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Thanks mate! But the link keeps redirecting to the newest page on this thread. I think I have read that he has used Aviator disc pads from a local shop which cost him about ₹200. But the aviator disc pads from Nissin cost about ₹600 at the svc. I need to change my pads today and i guess i'll be going for the cbr250 pads itself from the svc which cost about ₹900 if I'm not wrong. I'll update here later

Yes ASK does make after market pads but the availability at certain places can be a problem. Do keep us abreast with some pictures of the pads themselves and the price etc.

                            Cheers!

Aviator disc pads (NISSIN) cost about ₹620. I decided to go with the original CBR250 front disk pads, made by BYBRE, as braking is the most critical part. The pads cost ₹860 in Bangalore.

i am in the market looking for used cbr 250r abs variant. i found two offering on mumbai olx site , one from thane ( MH 04) and other one is from mulund but having registered bike in MH 47 ( i think its vasai RTO ).
both the bikes are repsol edition beow are the details,

                                1. MH 47 registered, 2015 july
                                odo reads 11k
both the tyres changed to perreli
both the brake pads changed recently
he is ready to sell it for 1.25lac but the actual owner is in usa for his studies. the bike is with his friend in mulund.

                                2. MH 04 registered , jan 2016
                                odo - 15k
                                stock tyres
bike is in complete stock condition
owner is asking for 1.50 ut he is ready to negotiate further a little bit.

which one should i go for? ( i liked the 2nd one but 1st one has new tyres and brake pads , so confused )

what paperwork i should check before buying a pre owned bike and what will be the procedure to transfer the ownership?
