But when you put down the review, please let us know the process followed for the DIY, so that we can also try this on our own.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
11 months, you have lot of patience to wait this long. I could not wait for more than a week to get mine installedOriginally posted by aargee View PostPlanning to write a review on this one, but please don't ask me when!! It took 11 months for me to get this job done all by myself, so I leave the time frame for you to imagine as when a review might appear..
.
Below is the one I have done
Don't ask me for a review now, I could not use it properly for the intended purpose, but it has more glare to the on coming vehicles. And with this and high beam on most of the heavy vehicles too turn to their low beams

I'm very interested to know where you got that replacement number place madeOriginally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View PostBelow is the one I have done
Edit - Never mind, I understood how the plates are done; basically they're inverted L shape connecting from number plate towards the top. I tried this method but the light kept shaking like hell. That's when I lost interest.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Yes, its an inverted L clamp, but I have beaten the hell out of it to match the angle of the license plate holderOriginally posted by aargee View PostI'm very interested to know where you got that replacement number place made

. This way its almost 99% secured to its place with the default license plate holder nut.
I have travelled in all sort of speeds and very rough roads(inner and outer Chennai), so far I stayed in its place without any issues.
I do not have an P&S camera, I have some snaps from my mobile phone, I will post it soon here.Originally posted by hypheni View PostPlease share few pictures when you feel comfortable with these new lights in the dark.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I've no questions on the stability or safety, but the number plate rattles like hell when the bike is ridden that's where I was apprehensive; instead I would suggest to get it mounted right underneath the RVM's. You'll only need a small "L" clamp to mount & the light stays rock steady.Originally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View PostYes, its an inverted L clamp, but I have beaten the hell out of it to match the angle of the license plate holder

Like this...
Now if you ask why I didn't do this...I got this idea only after I've done my actual work
Anyway, my project is not complete yet as my intention is to get original Cree Aux lights. So consider this as testing waters project for now where learning from this actually gets into actual work.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I initially sampled some ways to mount, including tying the lights with threadsOriginally posted by aargee View PostI've no questions on the stability or safety, but the number plate rattles like hell when the bike is ridden that's where I was apprehensive........
but I could not successfully mount without the lights falling down. With this I have not faced or the least observed with this number plate rattling while riding.
Is the rattle accompanied with any sound along with it?I would like to get it checked if its there in my bike too. But I did not see any change in focus of the lights during riding Or I did not pay much attention to it
Like this...
I too had this in my mind initially(again inspired by older posts in this very same thread, which I cannot find now), but I thought placing the light lower will give a long throw with less glare to the oncoming vehicles.Originally posted by aargee View PostNow if you ask why I didn't do this...I got this idea only after I've done my actual work

One question though, why is that you still have the license plate holder in place as you have a pasted the number above the main head lights??

theironhorse99 uses similar aux lights, and he has them mounted on his custom made crash guard/frame slider, one on each side.Originally posted by aargee View PostI've no questions on the stability or safety, but the number plate rattles like hell when the bike is ridden that's where I was apprehensive; instead I would suggest to get it mounted right underneath the RVM's. they light up the road pretty ok. there is a bit of glare for oncoming vehicles, but since its mounted much lower (than the headlight) the beam doesn't hit oncoming folks in the face directly.

Yes, he pointed me to go for this lights when I was searching for it. So here I would publically register my thanks to Aman once againOriginally posted by s1d View Post@theironhorse99 uses similar aux lights, and he has them mounted on his custom made crash guard/frame slider, one on each side.
