Re: Honda CBR 250R
I think Honda doesn't see a future in this segment to be honest. They are more concerned with the 110-150cc motorcycle segment than anything. The 300r should have last year itself. If the 250rr releases next year, its a good move , otherwise it shows Honda are happy with us getting the unupdated versions.Originally posted by sonnu0100 View PostLast edited by Deathwing; 07-30-2016, 03:20 PM.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
250rr is never coming to India, it is meant for markets where 250cc cap is there and it can't be a 250r upgrade. Even the current 300r looks dated, especially the instrument cluster.Originally posted by Deathwing View PostI think Honda don't see a future in this segment to be honest. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Let's face it , the 300r should have come atleast last year during the CBR 650f launch, instead they gave us colour change update rather than a the vehicle update. Its pretty clear Honda's target is the commuter market rather than anything else, it's just mind boggling and frustrating.Originally posted by kausarayub View Post250rr is never coming to India, it is meant for markets where 250cc cap is there and it can't be a 250r upgrade. Not just Honda, even Kawasaki and Yamaha are not interested in launching their 250cc singles hereOriginally posted by Deathwing View PostLet's face it , the 300r should have come atleast last year during the CBR 650f launch, instead they gave us colour change update rather than a the vehicle update. Even the Gixxer 250 rumors are still rumors only..

Kawasaki 300 n r3 are the segment motorcycles. The 250rr was spose to be the competition but Honda motorcycles India don't see it in the market, same case with 500rOriginally posted by kausarayub View PostNot just Honda, even Kawasaki and Yamaha are not interested in launching their 250cc singles here

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Went to service centre yesterday for a general checkup for upcoming trip. CBR mechanic told me to replace Brake pads and after a bit of thought I went for it. Though he told me that the current ones can be extended if I ride in city. But for safety in trip it is better to change them off. He showed me some completely worn out pads as well. Bike has 13500kms on ODO and this was the very first time I changed some parts of it. Can these be used later on when the new one will be worn out? And whats the general interval you guys change the pads?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Both the pads have some life left and can be safely used. I would suggest you to know how to change the pad by yourself, and use the old pads then replace to new ones.Originally posted by hypheni View PostWent to service centre yesterday for a general checkup for upcoming trip. IMO, approximately 2K km of life is left. May be more!Originally posted by hypheni View PostWent to service centre yesterday for a general checkup for upcoming trip. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yes, the CBR mechanic told me the same. If I'm intended to ride in city then some weeks or months can be extended. I have posted just to know whether my decision of changing both of the pads at 13.5K was wise or not. What say mate?Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostIMO, approximately 2K km of life is left. May be more!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
According to me that mechanic ripped you off. Your pads have 1/3rd to 1/2 life left.Originally posted by hypheni View PostWent to service centre yesterday for a general checkup for upcoming trip. I changed my front pads at 18k and rear at 25k. Mild to moderate usage of brakes.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
frankly speaking. there's nothing like wise or ideal decision for changing brake pads.Originally posted by hypheni View PostYes, the CBR mechanic told me the same. its life depends a lot on your riding style and to some extent, the kind of traffic you face on daily basis.
simple funda is the more you use it, the lesser it will last.
(plz dont take these words too seriously because life is much more precious than those brake pads).
try not to become conservative when it comes to brakes.
btw mine lasted for 7k (rear) and 13k (front) on odo.
my advice- you don't need to think so much because you have already changed them.
although you can keep those pads because they are still ok for normal use.
so in case you ever face non availability of brake pads in future or any issue these pads can b brought to use.
ride safe ride long!Burn the rubber, they said
it would be fun, they said

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Thanks leech and RedWingRider, even my feeling was that the pads can be used for at least few months as I don't ride aggresively. All I did was safety for coming long trip. The upcoming trip can be as long as 2.5K kms. Anyways I have already kept these pads safely and will give it try once the current one will be worn out.
