I won't say good choice, but wise choice. You can now start zipping through traffic and don't have to care about expensive body panels.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostBooked my CBR 250 Red ABS from Manasarovar Honda in Chennai. Delivery expected in 30 days time.

In my case the aux lights are mounted on inner side of turn indicators.Originally posted by aargee View PostNo sound just that the light jitters compared to headlight

With this arrangement i can adjust the angle of light throw. The output is really good, lights up the road extra 50% compared to high beam.
(Pardon me for tilted pictures, i cannot rotate pics in xbhp app)

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Very interesting setup; if you could share, please share a pic or explain where the aux lights have been mounted, unless its on the sides of number plate mount. Thanks.Originally posted by Kiran.jagtap View PostIn my case the aux lights are mounted on inner side of turn indicatorsSkill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Guess there should be enough clearance between the suspension and the lights when the bike is travelling in a straight line. While turning, you hit a pot hole a bigger one, that is questionableR15S - Current

@aargee, you are yet to answer my above silly questionOriginally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View Post......One question though, why is that you still have the license plate holder in place as you have a pasted the number above the main head lights??

That is a very sleek placement you found. Its almost hidden inside the faring, is it a DIY? could you share more details?Originally posted by Kiran.jagtap View PostIn my case the aux lights are mounted on inner side of turn indicators.

In turning, bigger pot hole. Then we have to worry more about other things than the clearance between the lights and the suspensionOriginally posted by TheArcher84 View PostGuess there should be enough clearance between the suspension and the lights when the bike is travelling in a straight line. While turning, you hit a pot hole a bigger one, that is questionable

Here are the pics, as I said its taken from mobile phone and the size of the pictures are reduced for better handling. So the quality is definitely low, but it should give you some idea about brightness. The wall was about 15-20 feet away from the bikeOriginally posted by hypheni View PostPlease share few pictures when you feel comfortable with these new lights in the dark.
With no lights
With Stock Low Beam
With Aux LED Light alone
With Low beam and LED
With High beam and LED

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I'm a bit curious to know where is this setup connect to on your bike? Also there would be more drainage on the batteries or does it run on its own electrical power? Ive seen a similar setup on a duke. Im curious also if I change my light setup to HID bi xenon, does it need a more powerful battery?Originally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View Post@aargee, you are yet to answer my above silly question

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I have a separate toggle switch connected to operate these lights. The source is our stock battery, I have taken the power from pass switch wiring inside the left hand switchgear.Originally posted by Deathwing View PostI'm a bit curious to know where is this setup connect to on your bike? I don't use this as DRL's so it have not drained the battery yet. The max I have used is for some 45 mins in the speeds above 70 kmph, and other times I use it for very small duration like 1 or 2 mins when I need more light on roads.
I am not an expert on lightings, but I guess if you are going to use a good quality HID setup the stock battery should be able to handle it.

How does the battery handle the load, have you changed your battery from stock ones to something more powerful ?Originally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View PostWith no lights

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hey guys,
I had some irritating noise from the engine at 3-4k rpm about which i had posted a few days back. I had mailed HMSI about the issue and they kept in touch from then, as the svc in my hometown didn't have spares for cbr, i took it to a bigger svc today and got the "CAM CHAIN TENSIONER" replaced under warranty. Thank you everyone for your suggestions!
Now the bike is running super fine

My CTT was changed at 25k kms, which is a bit early. What is your odo reading? Did they charge you for the CCT?Originally posted by sanjaynk15 View PostHey guys,

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I don't think that's early bro, my odo reads 3800 kms!!Originally posted by leech View PostMy CTT was changed at 25k kms, which is a bit early. What is your odo reading? Did they charge you for the CCT?
No, i wasn't charged anything for it. I was surprised that they didn't even add the labour charge
They said it was a manufacturing defect.
