@srini: the cheapest solution is to install a mudflap on your front fenders. Work like a charm (Guess you've already noticed mine).

Looks very bright. Any idea if Philips XV is brighter compared to Osram?

Oh, I have it ready, just need to attach it onto the fender, I did notice it in your bike. Btw, didn't know it'd help for the radiator too. Hmm, I think I'm done with all the basic retrofits then. Or am I missing anything necessary?

        • Was going through the universal Lighting thread and the findings are just too contradicting and too abstract. But yes, Osram NBs are definitely considered one of the top 3 choices in Halogen Bulbs, along with Philips XP. But which one is better - that's a never ending discussion. I guess it's more subjective.

As of now, I am tempted to go for a Philips XV as I don't want to mess around with the electricals - atleast not until I complete the 2nd service.

it gets more difficult for tri-colour fairing parts... worst of all many a times they dont even have chain lube ...
              brake pads ....

imagine they dont stock DOT 4 . .when i asked what to do when an ABS model will need dot 4 .. they state..

sir we dint get any vehicle yet for brake fuild refill so we dont keep it..

Here in Delhi i dont think there is any shortage of parts as my brother recently met with an accident and many parts were changed of my bike but the parts were readily available with the service centre. As i have a Tricolor

The flap redirects all the debri and prevents anything from hitting the fins. It also prevents clogging of the fins from mud/crap etc - thats the sole reason why I fitted one, and sure as hell it works - but unfortunately it can't save your radiator from careless engineers at the SC!.

                • Hi all, I was planning to buy a new 250R, probably withing the next two months.
I paid a casual visit to the showroom today and I was tipped by one of the salesman(also a friend) that they sold a 250R ABS for a 30k discount last week, reason being stock clearance.

They said they can give similar discount for another Black 250R which was in stock, on little inspection, the bike seems to be used, may be as a demo bike earlier.
Didn't inspect thoroughly, but I was told that similar discounts were being offered on the ABS model in many towns. 2013 colors look good, but I find the 2012 model better looking and I'm not sure if that is the reason for the huge discounts.

Is it advisable to go for those old stock ones, considering I'm getting the ABS model for non ABS price.

Hi - Is this discount been offered only on the demo bikes? or all 2012 bikes?

Thanks.. Yeah need to upgrade battery but still I don't know whether it can withstand 55W + 35W/55W for high beam. Stock battery can easily run 1 55W since stock HB is 35W+35W..
What do you think ?? If I upgrade my battery can it withstand 2 osram night breakers 55W running simultaneously?? Or it's a overkill? Or atleast 1 osram night breaker 55W and 1 stock 35W simultaneously ??
