      ^^^ +1 to what theironhorse99 said.
wobble is observed when the forks are misaligned a bit too but in ur peti-pack machine that possibility is ruled out.
the cbr is very planted even in sub110+ speeds.
a 5mins fix @ the service shud set u up good!

edit- checked the engine when it was hot, for the first few moments the engine had a slight sound of a chain rattling inside, but after some time it subdued to a more faint sound, I have no idea how a normal engine is suppose to sound, but it gave me no problems till now. Some american sites are talking about the sound off bb's in cans like a rattling sound, such has not occurred in my cbr.

Also covered my 500kms, the bike feels more natural almost attuned to my touch.

I noticed handle wobbling at 60kmph and even at 80kmph when i left both hands from handle bars... dint check at speeds below 60kmph ! can anyone confirm this ? is it normal on this bike or something is wrong ?
You shouldn't be experiencing wobbles at speeds like 60 or 80 unless the road is bad. Handle bar wobbles can be attributed to improperly aligned forks, bent front rims, tire cupping, and sometimes even not having the correct tire pressure. So check these.

Went out for a long ride yesterday, upon returning and before leaving it for the night, when the engine was still hot I switched it off and when I switched it on, there was a distinct sound of the timer chain rattling, or the rattling of the chain inside the engine. Is it normal? or is it the tappet/valve issues? because my old discover also had this sound when I use to go for long rides.

Most probably, this is the sound of the engine cooling down. It is a typical clinky, crackling, semi-metallic sound from the engine and at times from the exhaust too. This is most evident when one rides in a hot environment and then parks and shuts down in a cool area like a covered garage. My bike does the same.

Modern engines, with their advanced metallurgy, reach their normal operating temp very quickly. The cooling system maintains it for the duration when the engine is operating and then when it is switched off, the heat moves out fast. Cooler the post-ride climate, faster is the heat offtake.

I have a 2002 Pulsar Classic 150 but it does not make this sound. On the other hand, it takes much longer to warm up and cool down.

If the engine is normal before you shut it down and again normal when you fire it up some time later, all is well.

                • Problem

friends go through this post and understand this problem.
has anyone here faced this kind of a problem in cbr 250r i was at the workshop for my vehicle getting serviced there is a cbr parked there with a very weird problem in her the problem was that when u race the vehicle and setting her at 1000 to 2000 rpm there is a loud khat khat khat sound coming from the vehicle other than this rpm there is no sound,
the mechanic has changed everything from chip to timing chain valves. But the problem is still there i was wonderingif we can help the guy since the mechanic is unable to as been directed by the company he has changed everything but the sound is not going from the vehicle
well do let me know if anyone has seen or faced anything like this.
further this bike is parked at the workshop since long now 2 engineers also came from the company but could not fix this problem. Now the scene is they might be changing the head and everything else.
What do u guys have your opinion on this I will keep u updated of this issue as the bike is brand new just done 1306 km.

                    Hi,
you are right, it only makes a sound after the engine is restarted when very hot, there is a slight chattering sound, but when I start it during the mornings, i.e the first start of the day, or as I posted after letting the engine cool down from 3 bars to 1 the sound is not there.

                      Hello,
I have a slight problem now, becasue of unavoidable circumstances I would be out of Bangalore on 7th of this month, my Bike has clocked only 500 kms, and by the time I come back the 30 days free period would be over, so I am planning to give the bike for servicing soon that is to collect it before I leave.
So will it be okay to give it for servicing so early? I always varied my rpms, twice I went till .5 k on the meter, or will after the first servicing the "break-in"would be complete?

                      Manan.

Its better to get it serviced before you leave just in case. Regarding the break in just do what the manual says.

A similar thing occurred with me today, the handle was also moving post 60kmph, checked the pressure, and my front tire was 5 psi less than the recommended level, at lower speeds after filling in the air there was no wobble, shall check and reply again.

Completed 2500 kms. Engine has opened up beautifully and the throttle response has improved many folds. All the 25 horses seems to be working now. Touching 100 is effortless. Gearbox has got slicker..sometimes too slick . The contiGOs are providing quite decent grip on DRY surface. Munching miles on those boring long straight NHs was never so easy..

Issues faced. Chain slider came off TWICE. Figured out the problem(chain being a little too tight).

                                HAPPY with baby ceeber..
