Oit took me 30 minutes to get the bill done properly - computers are not helping many people these days). They may not even update the owner manual entry also (you may want it).
Thanks for the info. They do manage the billing etc properly at Yash Honda though.

Be ultra cautious in xwinds on the CBR; the huge fairings act as sails to catch the wind and push the bike around. Better to be slow and steady than speedy and sorry
Thank you sir. And while we're at it, when are you coming back to Pune?
I went on the Pune-Satara Highway today early morning so there were no winds while going but while coming back I was leaning towards the left at about 80kmph and the wind started blowing from the left to the right. That's the worst thing to happen since the tires endure greater force and they tend to slip away while you lean which could pose quite the threat. Thankfully I was at a relatively low speed and it was just a gust but I learned my lesson.

coolant need not be checked.. just oil and oiul filter..

this is first service.. from next service onwards get the air filter changed too i.e. 6k.. though honda suggests 12k .. but considering dust in india.. 250 bucks extra is worth it..
Thank you. I was curious though, how does the coolant level decrease over time even though it goes through a closed path?

This is fine. Coolant is between the High and Low mark. If you squat you can see the High level marked also (hope CBR is upright when you took this picture). If it was leaning on the kick stand also it is fine as when you make it upright, the coolant will be above High mark.

Err, how do we get it to take a turn? I'm thinking of buying a CBR Firebalde RC....pretty affordable at 700 bucks too!
we never really grow up, we just learn how to act in public....!!!

i do not wanna do that either.. its fun to be kid.. and side by side my other hobby keeps goin on ....though thats certainly not for kids.. probably oldies... hehe..

while the remote has button for left/right .....the front fork/handle takes a turn as per the input... yes i mean it the handle does turn with the remote and it turns.. even a complete round turn with out falling.......... so it just runs like the bike we ride.. just smaller in size and just 2 gears..

It was on the side stand. Thanks for your help.

Could someone tell me how helpful is the Teflon coating that the Honda guys offer since I am planning to get it done with the first service itself.

Nothing revolutionary. Will wipe off after some washes. Use something which you can apply every week after wash.

I am experiencing a metallic rattling sound somewhere from the front. The sound is very minute but it is there, wondering what it could be ? There are no vibrations on tank and fairing either. It is noticeable during the idling and goes up with the revs. Also, the chain being properly cleaned and lubed still makes some clatter..guess its too tight(?)

Mine makes the same noise since the fairing was opened and put back since the guy who did it lost a washer in the process. You might want to check the same since the screw may rattle and fall off eventually

I don't mind roughing it out a bit to maintain my bike. What would you recommend? And links would be appreciated.

The 500kms marked my first oil change. Stock FS itself.
I'm not quitting sir. With the exams coming up I think I have earned a well deserved break since I have been riding it on the highway almost every morning. After the exams, me and a few friends plan to go to Daman on the bikes and I hope that's where the bike starts to shine.
I agree, even the highways could do with much better roads IMO

I started off with 4.5rpms for 0-250kms, 5rpm for 250-500 and so on. In fact I am still going to continue using this process till I can reach 9rpm. I also made sure to never suddenly accelerate or decelerate as mentioned in the owner's manual. Got the oil changed at 500kms to FS itself.
I always make it a point to use premium fuel.

Honestly, it feels good to be on the other side of this question for once.
