Thanks. Overdrive used to publish kmph/1000rpm values for bikes when they tested them; they don't anymore. Along with power and torque curves, these values give us an idea about optimum up-shifting points. As far as vibrations are concerned, I think they are tolerable up to 7k - 7.5k rpm beyond which they get pronounced (through bar end weights and foot-pegs) and you have to back off the throttle once in a while to avoid your fingers going numb.
I did approx 200 km highway trip yesterday. With most of the cycle parts and fluids replaced (tires, chain set, oil, oil filter, shims, brake pads, coolant etc) recently, the bike was as good as new. I up-shifted at 6k - 7k rpm throughout the ride. Vibrations through handlebars and foot-pegs were apparent after 7.5 k rpm; which is approx 120 kmph in 6th gear. Red-lined too a few times, reached 120 kmph in 4th gear. Couldn't go beyond 130 kmph due to traffic. Long curves is where I expected a better grip from new tires, especially rear and they disappointed every time. Doing the long curves above 100 kmph, I ran wide a couple of times; backed off for the rest of ride to 80 - 90 kmph in curves.
What I mean by long curves!
FE for the whole trip was around 33 kmpl. 5.75 litres in 190 km. Full tank method.
