Agreed buddy that you don't ride fast. But this machine is so addictive, you would need a lot of control on your wrist. I know how I clocked the first 1000kms before the first service. I too have a std version but recently realised the use for ABS when my front wheel locked at 30 - 40km/hr. I agree 35k is alot money ( you can get quality riding gears in the budget) but then this is a one time investment and you should go for the best. I made the mistake and now repent. Don't ant the same for any fellow bikers. Rest is upto you bro.

Hi All CBR250R riders,
Did you all got fixed the Re-called Front Brake assembly warranty parts on your rides?
I got done for mine, it just took an hour for fixing along with an compliment water wash from the dealer.
After this fix,there seems to be an considerable improvement in the sharpness of braking.

hmm.. sid i have plenty of time so im in not hurry to book...well so your previous bike was karizma... you want to know my previous ones....here is the list..
01.Suzuki shaolin - used for 4 yrs. my first babe this one was worth, though it is a flop.. for me it was a memorable bike.
02.Pulsar150 - old model without self start, used this one for 3 yrs, then sold it for upgrade version of pulsar.
03.Pulsar180 - full black model, with self start used for 3 yrs, then sold.
04.Suzuki GSR150 - grey color, though bike is good i was not happy...so after 2 yrs i sold...now 5th one is coming

........it will be my last bcos i cannot buy anymore bike will shift to car because i amm married..till then i will enjoy the ride.............................................. .................................................. ........... !!!!

Yes i want to upgrade but my choice is limited to 2 bikes only N650 and GT650R.

Madam, i think you should test drive both GT and N650...then decide..thats only the best way.. you know i had test drive both CBR250 and CBR150.. i didnt like the 150R, because it doesnt have the punch like 250R...enjoy your ride...

500 again depends on the price... as for styling.. the only bike i liked out of all the 500's is the cb500x. looks like a perfect match for INDIA..
however the important call is where does honda place it in the market.

second 500 cc and 49/50 hp.. you rather take a call for n650 if the budget permits..

between the gt650 and n650 .. it will be anyday N650...

my logic..
with a full body of a big bike and sports seating.. a touring kinda twin parallel engine is a big turn off for me.
if it has to have body like a superbike then perform like one too.. atleast a 100hp expected.. again price comes into picture.

second the finnessee is missing.

n650 is good blend for power , seating and FE for a 650 considering india ..
N650 between them..

though i am awaiting for triumph street triple if the pricing romoured is said to be close...

I have been notified by the dealer about the change of master cylinder but the kit hasn't arrived yet. The dealer would inform once it arrives.

Great bikes they are....Though Shaolin was a flop , I liked it because of it power. May be that was the reason it flopped since it produced a lot of power and less fe. My freind owned both Shogun and Shaolin.

About the Engine rattling issue, a fellow rider on the cbr forum has pinpointed his cause to a specific part on the valve cover:
I quote: "I had a rattle that sounded very serious (metal on metal) coming from the upper engine area. I tracked it to the polution control (smog) emissions system. On the engine valve cover there is a small cover plate with a rubber air hose going into it. Under that is a reed valve then a port plate (the one with all the holes #2 in the parts diagram). The port plate is not supposed to move but mine was loose and rattled very badly at various engine speeds. On the actual photo you can see three location points that are worn from the plate moving around. I removed the plate and the engine rattle was gone. Your mechanic should be able to easily check and repair this."

Yes I got mine replaced and found no difference in braking. I never had any complaints anyway.

can anyone tell me where can i get the disc pad(front and rear boh)for cbr 250r std. version in Delhi.my dealer does not have the part for last 3 weeks and today a strange noise from rear wheel started.i have not applied the rear brake from that time.please help me.

Try calling other dealers in delhi. May be they have it in stock.

Completed my first servicing. ASC guys are still using Honda oil. Should i stick with it or change it to Motul?

SHOGUN is an AWESOME bike sid...you know they actually plan to introduce a better 2 stroke bike after shaolin... Name SHADOW.. it never came .. may be because of pollution rule they dropped...Same way Yezdi also plan to introduce a super bike fully modified name " SuperSprint " that too also dropped reason dont know may they are scared to launch..

Hi Nitesh,

Did you replace full head cover or replaced only read value? I have similar issue and replaced shims three times but problem not resolved,I suspect this might be problem. Please share more details on the same.
