This is something! Bravo for taking the initiative to connect with customers. Where are you located? I would like to shift my base service to your center, if possible.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

I understand your concern. Obviously you don't want put in your money in a piece of crap. The first few batches of CBR had some quality issues but Honda rectified them as and when they could. I own a CBR250 which I bought in Aug 2012, I can vouch its all good apart from the news of master cylinder being replaced. Mate, afterall this is a machine and machines are due to break down. Rather, you should look into the positive in this. Honda realised by themselves that they had faulty parts in a particular batch and so decide to change them free of cost. Even sbks sometimes have faulty patrs, does it mean the bike is not worth buying? People still do buy them. One of my freind recently had an issue with the chain of R15 V2, does that make R15 crap...no...R15 will be still king of corners. Don't you fall sick ever? Its just my view on the topic. People may want differ on it. The decision is yours finally.

                      • Got my master brake cylinder replaced at City Honda, Bangalore yesterday. They gave my bike a free wash too. Got an invoice for Rs. 0.0/- with one item that said 'Repair under Warranty'.

I found no perceptible difference in braking before and after the replacement.

                        • Good to see a female CBR rider among us. Probably the first one in this group. Welcome aboard Barkha.

I think Honda is changing these parts as a precautionary measure. So doesn't mean that you're was faulty (may or may not be). Probably that's the reason you aren't finding any difference.
Good thing is that we are getting a free replacement.

Yeah that's what I thought too. The part on my bike may not have been defective in the first place. But good that Honda provided a free replacement as a precautionary measure. You have the ABS model right?

                              • Hi eveyone. , Thank you Sid85 and sudeepnbr . Thank you soooooo much for you support, the baby ceeber is really one mean machine but i have out grown it in 11 months and looking to upgrade to a higher class.it has good power and i love to rev the engine in 3rd gear ,it belches out a really sweet symphony of exhaust sound and the engine whining sound when u let go of the accelerator in 3rd gear and rpm is arround 6k....just love it. (damages the engine? does.t matter..it brings a smile on my face and thats what matters to me.(my bike my way). i do take care of it i polish the bike with (maxmoto) polise myself everyweek...keeks the bike shining. Can anyone tell me how to keep the black plastic shiney..? I use tyre foam ...i spary all the black plastic with it and the wipe it off. under the rear mudguard also. makes the bike look new (Nyaone has ahy other method to keep it shiney?)....dont know about the longterm damage it will do to the plastic though!!!!??(will replace them if required...i hear the spares are cheap to buy). Here is a pic of me again
