    • Hi All CBR250R Riders,
My ride did 1500kms so far. 80 kms trip was my last ride. At 55th km and with the speed of 60 KMPH the bike engine got stalled all of a sudden with a puk sound like the detachment of the accelerator cable. After parking on the shoulder of the road, i had given a crank but the engine started and run as usual with no further stoppage till the end of the trip. This never happened before on this bike before. Could some body please shed some light on this issue.
Also i feel tightness in the steering like it gets locked in the straight direction on the run. After evaluation, The service center guys denied my complaint of fork bend and suggested me to fill more air pressure on the front wheel 35 instead of 28 since because i am on the higher side of body weight. I still can't figure the relation in it. Whats the right tyre pressure should an 80KG wala should fill in his rides wheels.?
While starting the engine in the morning i feel the engine is very smooth, but after riding the vehicle above 40KMPH and once the engine got heated to the required temperature, i hear a clinging noise like of a "beggar's plate" only in less rpms below 4K. Was this common in all 4 stroke engines.? even my friend's and my bro's ZMR produces the same noise after run.
Guys your clarifications are very much appreciated, please..!

          Whaat?
When i had mine dented about 3 months ago, i was charged about 350+ something for removal of dent and repainting it. New ones costed around 500 bucks last i heard.
Now that some jealous idiot has dented it with a hammer on purpose, i gotta find a new one aswell.

Lolzzz... I knew something went wrong there. When I got the bill from the SVC I was shocked and went and asked the billing guy whether it was a mistake. He searched and told no its correct. May be their DB is not updated correctly . Anyway I was one lucky person to get a new silencer heat shield for 46Rs/-

I had a similar exp in my cbr150r. Once you hear that beggar plate noise, stop the vehicle, do not switch off the engine. In neutral, rise the rpm and feel from which part of the vehicle you are exactly getting the noise. The chances are you may get it from the rear part. The cause may be, there is a silencer protector rubber between the silencer and the metal casing. If the rubber is missing (which was the case in my exp) then due to vibration the silencer tend to hit against the metal casing which may be the cause of the noise. That was the reason for my issue.
Riding 17.6 horses out of which 5 horses work in the city and other 12+ horses wake up after 6k rpm and run after 8k rpm

                    • Using Clip on handlebars from Pulsar200ns for CBR 250

Is it possible to do so? I am assuming that clip on handlebars for pulsar200 are a bit more lengthy than CBR250r

                      • Okay so me and Avenger88 went to the ASC this morning. We dropped our bikes there and then noticed that the demo bike and another customer's bikes sounded way more smoother and didnt have the odd sound coming from the engine. We enquired and their response was "Sir its a Demo bike and its barely run as many kms as your bikes" - Absolute lack of common sense since Demo bikes are more prone to wear and tear of parts and are supposed to be sounding rough. But it wasnt. It was as though it was running with a freeflow exhaust and the revvs just build up to 9k rpm+ and not a hint of vibrations. I was stunned!!! I dont even think the bike off the showroom has that level of smoothness.
Anyway asked em to check for shim clearance and it was all on the jobcard(mine and his) and asked them to change my air filter aswell.
Evening comes and we are there to collect our bikes. To my surprise i get a bill with zero charges and i see the jobcard where it says "checked okay" for all the problems that were listed including air filter(which i had asked to be replaced). So i got my chain lubed, slackness adjusted and a wash free of cost. Also got my front brake tightened (For the 5th time in the last two months now ever sinced i changed to the new pads). Clutch freeplay has been adjusted aswell.

Secondly i noticed that the bar end weight has almost come out of the sleeve and is rolling freely on the clutch side of the handlebar. THe same was the case with Avenger88's bike. On enquiring i got a response that it is the case in all other CBR's. Is that so? Can anyone check and clarify here? Thanks

is it possible to replace CBRs clip ons with some other bike's clip on handlebar? (say pulsar 220/Karizma ZMR)?

Why do u want to replace it as it is perfect with the bike ? In case u want to adjust the height u can scan back some pages where someone has increased the height of stock handle with a simple mod

It's quite normal unless it's rotating very freely. In my bike both side end bars do rotate , but not very loose. If hand grip is in contact with end bars they maybe tighter.
