      OMG....the rear attachment

Even there 2 bottle holder each side. Looks Awkward but highly functional. Great.

The oil leak is due to the filter not being fitted properly or because of a blown filter gasket. Ive experienced this post first servicing. Just take it to your ASC asap. About the 2011 bike being Sold, first ask your ASC about the same and if they arent responding send a complaint to HMSI through website. AGAIN this was avoidable if you had done a thorough PDI

        • Hi All, I am planning to buy Cramster Saddle Bag for CBR 250, just one query, will the bag touch silencer (right hand side), if yes is there anything that can be done to fix this thing. Kind Regards

          • Booked the Black CBR250R at Didar Motors, Egmore, Chennai. Test drove the owner's vehicle. Nice, but city riding in traffic requires frequent change of gears. Bike cant pull in second gear at 5-10 kmph. I gues i've been used to the 20 kg/m pull of a Sumo, which can start in second gear from 0 kmph. Cant they make diesel bikes?

The bag will not touch the silencer but there are chances that it will touch the tire. Use bungee cords to prevent that.

              • Got a call from Didar 10.30 AM; salesgirl says your bike has arrived sir, in Thousand Lights showroom. Catch 22: only red available. Black ETA 2-3 months. I said f**ck black. Went to the showroom, and spoke to a junior salesman.

He said that since I booked in egmore, I have to pay the egmore dealer. I was surprised that he did not take off his pants exclaiming "Euraka!" as he told me this. I asked to see the bike, and after 2 minutes, he arrived. "Sir, please come." Smart ass showed me the ex-showroom piece (ABS) lying in a corner. "Sir, this is your bike." I knew it was the showroom piece, because I saw it 2 days back. "This is the ABS model. I asked for standard." He made a show of looking confused, but it looked like he was trying to pass a particularly large kidney stone. He turned to his Senior, and Senior called up the godown guys.

"Ok sir, your bike has arrived at Poonamallee godown. Please come tomorrow. "

                "What time? Which showroom?"

" This one sir. 11 AM."

I'll be going tomorrow, to do a PDI, and pay them. RTO stuff would be done in two to three days. When should I ask them for the permanent registration number?

Normally you will get the registration number with in 48 hrs. just for RC it will take 1-2.5 months

                  • Coolant and Engine oil for cbr 250r?

I am not sure whether a sticky thread for this issue exists or not.

Hi, I am an avid tourer on my CBR, usually roaming around within 500kms of Bangalore, my problem is that, since I usually rip the machine, the coolant gets used up a little fast, and I am tired of gettting the bike to the dealers wait for a day, just to top off the coolant and the oil. are there any other brands of coolant/ engine oil other than Honda which I can use as an impromptu top off? or Honda has a monopoly over it?

                    thanks

Do you mean the RC book, rite?

Also I bought an Armex Motocross helmet. It had a sorta sun shade or something. Anybody has xp with the brand?
Has an ISI mark tho : IS4151

                        • I know it seems a bit funny but Me and My friend was discussing about CBR yesterday and he said the CBR gives hardly 15-16 of average !

I wanna know the average normally people get ?

I know it completely depends on how you ride Bike.

Like the average Me and my bro get from our bikes are :

                          Pulsar 220 :
                          22-23 When I ride
                          32-33 when my bro rides.

                          Fazer
                          : 24-25 for me
                          35-36 for my Brother

Fz : nearly same as Fazer

                          Karizma : 17-18 for me
                          25-26 for bro !

So its the difference on how we ride but what on a average does people get from CBR 250 and 150 ?
First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

                              • due to lack of roads (thanks to big potholes), heavy traffic in my place I drive my bike very sanely....stop & accelerate in traffic like other commuter bikes and shut-down engine only when I stuck more than 45 sec in signal or jam.....this way I always get 30+ mileage in my bike.

I get 33 - 35 kmpl each and everyday...but safe to quote it is 30 kmpl in day-to-day city ride (only). My engine RPM varies 4/5k, rarely it goes up 7k & above.

But one thing I never lag the engine .....
