Cone set is loose, get it fixed from the svc.

      • Hey guys.. I've been considering an upgrade from my 5yr old P200 soon & I've settled on the Honda CBR250R which by now has had a long time in the market and has quite a big ownership base here!

I need advice from all you Honda 250R owners here on what is the best way to go about purchasing the bike. I intend to take it on a finance scheme/loan. So any feedback from owners here on the finance scheme would really help.

Apart from the banks.. there's also Bajaj finance etc who offer a range of financing plans. Could i request some feedback or advice on it?

I also was wondering if anyone who took delivery lately has got the 2012 or the 2013 model year?? If I'm not wrong, the 2013 version has been release abroad but is yet to make it here?

I intend to go for purchase around end Jan 2013. So any help and advice would be appreciated!

        Thanks!

make sure the filter gets changed at first service as there have been cases of SVC guys not changing or forgetting filter replacement. the first service is when the filter accumulates the maximum debris of metal..

Uhh, just to clarify: you're talking about changing the ENGINE OIL FILTER, right? Please pardon my noobness; This Blood Red Honda is gonna be my first bike.

The opposite, in fact. It was sticking in a 5 odd degree arc to the left and right. The cone set was too tight and was loosened up a bit. Ok now. christo has answered your query correctly.

no change is pickup/power.. no change is FE.. everything is perfectly normal like before.. but just the sudden *** bloop bloop** and normal..
Im familiar with this issue.. Before i got my block replaced and after i got the block replaced. The only thing i can attribute this is with the quality of fuel.
You might also hear it while descending down the slope in the first or second gear and with the throttle just barely open.

you hit the nail dude.. so after they have started adding ethanol the bike is showing symptoms.. damn...
whats the solution.. bike just runs fine but you know how we riders are.. just not completely happy in heart and the head
                      keeps running all the time...

will try shell from this tank onwards and see if that makes a diffrence. .thanks for a pointer.
i was not sure where to start from to isolate the niggle.

^^^ I have been riding for 25 years now. It's great to know that young people like you are taking up motorcycling with such passion. I have just one advice to give you... Your so called 'right' gear is not so right. Riding gear has one purpose and one purpose only i.e. provide protection.

                              I recommend:
                              1. A full face helmet of decent quality such as LS2.
                              2. Riding jacket with body armour.
                              3. Leather gloves with inserts (preferably gauntlet style).
                              4. Riding pants with body armour.
                              5. Riding shoes.

Points 2 to 5 will be available from stores like Bachoo Motors or Planet DSG.

                              Ride safe and live strong!!!
Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Thanx.did u have a ride in the ghat section in araku?..if yes ..which bike? how did it perform.?

                                @ abhimanyu31

Thanx !!!! Yes i do have passion for biking but cant spend so much now as i am saving for a new bike. yes. i will purchase armour and gloves with the new bike and a full face helmet.....the half face helmet forces the wind inwards with the dust and i get automatic mascara(kajal) on my eyes wiht the dust...lol
saw a accident while returning. 3 guys on a Yamaha SZ..no helmet......ghat road.... collided with a truck head-on ..the guy riding didnt survive....a girl tried CPR but in no vain.two other guys were taken to hospital...i am lil scared now.... thinking it would be better if i move to the pillion seat from the rider seat.....
